Especially in The OC™, where I live, Cayenne is only driven by middle-aged women whose husbands are rich enough to afford something other than a Lexus RX330. And yes I see them wayyyyyyyyy to often. Eyesore.

1. It's an SUV and they piss me off a lot in town (I can't see past them in my Celica for one).

Uncool to me ...

I appreciate its speed and power but to me the Cayenne tries to be a great and a great SUV but it isn't both.

Despite all that power (at least in Turbo versions), it is no faster than a 540i wagon which would out handle. As an SUV it hardly has any usable room - the trunk is pretty hopeless - an Audi A4 Avant will hold more.

The looks have grown on me.. earlier I felt compelled to cover the eyes of little kids when a Cayenne passed by to avoid shocking them. But now, I think it looks OK- better than some of the other SUVs in the market for sure but no real beauty.

Only reason why it is not "Seriously Uncool": The profit from this SUV will go towards the next 911. That reason alone is enough to bump it up to "Uncool" ;) .

Maybachs are not awesome. Arnages are awesome. I do agree that fast trucks are an intriguing idea, but Cayennes are so ugly.

Cool - having driven a Cayenne Turbo I can see why peopel buy them.. the Turbo version at least.

It was pretty cool being able to blow away Mustang GT's and Boxters as we diced for gaps in traffic... all the while being pushed along by the finger of God... ;)

No chance you can go off-road with those low-profile street tires. There was a Cayenne Turbo blocking me the other day and the clueless midget woman driving it was basically looking through the steering wheel. Yeah, she really needed the 400hp.

since it allows Porsche to make money and produce their other cars, Subzero, and anyway, as a piece of engineering, it's a masterpiece.

As for the looks, it has too look like a Porker, and it does, I can't see how else you could make a Porsche shape look like an SUV
