just saw it today, and as someone who didn't read the book i thought it was an okay movie. most of it seemed really rushed, though, with too little time spent on certain aspects, but overall it wasn't confusing or anything, but was also nothing special. maybe if i were still religious i'd feel more strongly...
my girlfriend pointed out (and i agreed) that Tom Hanks wasn't really convincing for that role as a professor. the albino guy was pretty cool, though, nice and creepy 8)
