I am sorry to have to write my comments before the video is ready for downloading but it is one of the most shocking and upsetting videos that I have ever seen. Its some 20 mins after the show has finished and I can still feel the pain for the car involved, I feel almost like I was in the damn accident, its very weird and so sad indeed.

I knew it wasn't going to be pleasant when I heard last week that the feature involves a Ferrari crash.

What I must put into words is how UNBELIEVABLE someones attitude can be to driving a Ferrari for what seemed like the first time.

As I remember it when I first sat in the passenger seat of a 348TS I felt that I was the most privilegded person in the world and I didn't even want to put my feet on the mat so as not to offend the automotive GOD which is Ferrari, let alone shitting my pants when it came to turning the key for the first time, (I am sure TT and other members that have driven Ferrari's will know what I mean, such a huge responsibility in a way, like you are put in charge of taking care of a precious work of art or something), even haven driven a few now and clocked up a few miles I still would never have dreamt of doing what the idiot attempted to do tonight. Flooring a car that you have never driven before in between two parked cars and you get what you deserve, just a shame that was the last thing that the car deserved. Sure we could have all probably made it through that gap without too much diffictulty but knowing that you were being filmed and watched by 50 people driving a supercar for the first time, why then on earth would you act like that ?

As Plato says at the end, "the moral of the story is don't let 'pop stars' drive Ferraris"

Check the video out shortly and post your thoughts here if you can bear to even watch the video that is :|

I just feel so gutted for that car, maybe its because its a 355, maybe its the way she tried to carry on driving it after she got it hooked up on the other car, maybe its because it was given ZERO RESPECT. You can tell even plato was hurting badly the way he was cringing at the end.

I completely agree with you Jabba.

The blonde (no stereotyping here :P ) showed absoultely no gratitude/amazement at driving a Ferrari. It was a sickening crunch - such a low speed thing that it should be impossible if you were paying even 1 per cent attention.

What made it worse was her trying to drive forwards, doing more damage

I'm yet to drive anything of such significance, but suffice to say, i will have a little more respect than what she showed - to drive a Ferrari/Porsche is a dream for me (at the moment), and i would do my best to avoid making such a stupid error.

Yep that sums it up perfectly, I think any car let alone a Ferrari deserves more than 1 per cent attention, didn't you just want to put your hands on your head and cringe as she tried to carry on going forward after getting trapped ?

this is why TG's stars are in "reasonably" priced cars. case, and point :?

seriously, the concentration was absolutely nothing; just drive away, clunk! then trying to pull forward??? what was she thinking?

the whole feature was filled with some nice to look at broads... and some brilliant work with Plato driving the 911... footage that was leaps and bounds better then thier review of it last year....

but watching the carsh... it hurts hearing it... its not like a metal on metal crash... but like a tearing, and crumpling... the righ t emotion isn't in the smales bank here :spaz: :silly: :slap: :shocked!:  :roflmao: :bad: :slap: ... that combination might fit it. to think somebody so undeserving is given that chance... then totally fucks it over...

I haven’t seen it yet, but the preview last week was enough to know that it wouldn’t be pretty, especially given Jason’s reaction. Now seeing your reaction Jabba, I know it must have been a painful site, more so for you because you own the same car (at least I think you still do). Having driven a 360, I can definitely relate to the feeling you have when sitting behind the wheel. There are many who will say it is just another car (only more expensive), and I’m sure the broad behind the wheel felt the same way. There is a certain bit of respect when taking command of a car of this caliber. This is no mere Honda you are sitting in. I’ll respond more after actually seeing the footage.

ferrari should set a minimum milage per year! (obviously as the year go by the milage would lower.. eg 1st year 2000 mile 2nd 1800 mile.. ;) ) and fines to be given to those who disobey

My goodness. . . I don't think she realized what she damaged.

That was quite amazing. I guess that is a lot better than crashing out on the track, who knows what she might have done.

Overall, I think the segment was pretty pointless. I guess if you were really into these girls it was fun, but since I'm from America I didn't really care much.

Although the chick is too stupid for her own good, and the crash is not a pretty sight, at the end of the day we're talking about a freaking car, not a person. Let's not all get oversensitive now. Boatloads of supercars are crashed under the most ridiculous circumstances, and all those cars can be fixed. I have less respect for those garage queen holding owners who drive 5 miles in every 10 years with their exotics.

I only get genuinely pissed of by somebody who has no respect for other peoples property. This chick didn't appear to be very emotional on that part. Luckily the damage wasn't severe and at least it was (a pisspoor) attempt to use the car for what it's built (track).

I don't think the Tifosi would say it any differently.

Its hard to explain what makes a Ferrari different to all other cars. I remember Jeremy Clarkson trying to explain why when on paper the Lamborghini Gallardo is better than a F360 that it still somehow isn't. He said something like that Ferrari is a magical name, it has a glow around it like no other car in the same way Harry Potter does for childrens books. I have also heard Michael Schumacher when he first joined Ferrari make similar statements (not about Harry potter though LOL).

at the end of the day we're talking about a freaking car, not a person.

Don't know what you are doing on this forum then (or even if I want you on it for that matter) if you don't understand how passionately some people feel about cars and especially a Ferrari 355 and since when has that ever been referred to as a "freaking" car

I think her "punishment" was them airing the show (it will be hard to live that one down). She was all cocky after setting the fastest lap time in the 911 and would probably be telling the rest of the "band" how much better she was at driving then they were. Instead I bet there was a real sour atmosphere in the car on the way home with her sulking in the corner and rightly so.

Idiotic, no other word for it. Both the crew and the driver are to blame. The crew for letting a blonde pop star even get close to such a precious vechicle. But what irritated me the most was when the blondie crashed the car and said "that's embarassing". Then, with one car hooked on to the other, she revved the engine trying to force the Ferrari past, like it was a lawnmower stuck on a weed. Gladly Plato stopped her idiotic attempts.

And off went the blondie, smiling and giggling as if nothing happened.

Can anyone here honestly say that they don't get upset when they see a car that has been "keyed" and I am talking about ANY car let alone a Ferrari ?

Then again the type of people that go around "keying" cars have the type of attitude that if you can afford a Ferrari then you can afford to have it re-sprayed.

Never understood these sort of people and I guess the only fair thing to do would be to "key" them but rather than a key how about a nice "red hot poker" instead 8)

The point I am making is whether its a couple of panels or just a few scratches its the principal that you would be gutted if it was done to your car so why is it no big deal when its done to someone elses ?

I totaly agree. My father has had a couple of his cars keyed and a friend of mine got his rearview mirror on his 328Ci kicked off. In Hungary were some of my relatives live people almost congratulate other people on having nice cars. In Sweden were I live people are so jealous off each other that people from other countries have a hard time understanding it. And as result people think that "I can't afford that car.." so they decide to punish the ones that can. Sad but true.

Cars are such special items to the owners and so much more than just metal. So when you mess with someones cars it's pretty much personal.

When you mess with somones car, the cost of fixing it goes up very quickly. Repainting a car is very very expensive. Like Clarkson said in one episode of Top Gear, "when someone breaks into your house and steals your tv, you're out a couple hundred quid, when somone steals your car, it's a couple thousand"

My car has a few dings from people in parking lots. Doesn't anyone hold the door when they open it anymore? One put anice little dent just behind the passenger door, happened while I as in the car. A lady of abou 35 gets out and slams her door into mine and started walking off like it was no big deal. She wasn't happy when I told her to look at what she did.

After it was all said and done, I only left her with my advice to watch what the hell she was doing. I popped the dent out myself with one of those suction cup pullers.

I'm sorry if my opinion differs, but I think your reaction (with all respect) is very over the top.

1. It was an accident, I don't think it was in anyones interest for her to crash it
2. It was a reasonably low speed incident and yes, it will be very fixable
3. Its a company car, so theres no "personal effect" of having crashed someones car.
4. The insurance company will pay for it
5. The car will be as good as it was before the crash

If I was in her situation (which I will be very soon ;)) then yes I would have taken a lot more care as I do respect it. But then again, generally, people don't put as greater value on cars as we do and don't understand the amount of power they have as we do.

Its not about respect - its about ability and common sense...

You can't compare to someone keying a car either - this was an accident, not done on purpose

I've been on an M3 experience at rockingham and about to do a 355/911 experience which was bought for me by my gf.

With the M3, there was no rev limit at all (other than the physical rev limiter) - the only thing you had to adhere to was keeping traction control on, but it takes a lot in an M3 to brake traction anyway.

With more expensive cars, some places do enforce rev limits, but I think its generally depends on where you go and what your instructors like and how he thinks your driving.

Not sure where i'm going to do the 355/911 one as I've got a few options but I'll let you know once I've been on it ;)

You can't compare to someone keying a car either - this was an accident, not done on purpose

1. It wasn't an accident it was stupidity and carelessness, it could easily be called "driving without due care and attention" Naseem Hamed also had an "accident" and he went to jail for 15 months ! It wasn't in anyones interest for him to crash his SLR either but he did through stupidity thats what makes some "accidents" different to others. I guess if she had hit someone then that would have also been OK as that might have just been a finger or something and what the hell they can always be stitched back on I suppose.

2. It wouldn't need fixing at all if she had half a brain and it being low speed makes it even more avoidable.

3. Thats a really shitty attitude to have and to be honest I cant stand people who think like that. I have a mini fleet of company cars for my employees and I can tell you anyone who thought it was ok to trash their car just because the company owns it and there is "no personal effect" wouldn't have the car for very long nor their job for that matter.

4.Yep and that makes the whole thing ok then, its no wonder our insurance premiums keep going up with this way of thinking, didn't you ever think that the reason why insurance companys continue to be highly profitable is that they in fact pay for fuck all and its all the other "careful, serious" drivers that pay for everyones elses "little mistakes".

5. You couldn't be more wrong. Think about what you are saying there and it makes no sense. If you think a car will be as good as it was before any crash then you have got a lot to learn. Trust me they are never quite the same !

Regarding the "keying" I think you have missed the point yet again. According to you it was just a few panels that were damaged on the Ferrari and therefore not a big deal, and yet it would appear that less damage caused by "keying" or anything else for that matter is quite a big deal to alot of people, me included !

a fixed car can never be a new one. Repainting panels isnt the same as NEW ones. So no matter how well it's fixed, its a crashed car.

So true... they are never quite the same sadly :|
