I just read LotusGT1's thread, and i suddenly got curious as to who has the cheapest car on JW.

Only cars that members actually drive qualify, and it must be a verified car in the drive or ride section.

Try to find the value of the car as if it was in Mint Condition (ie no paint flaws, no interior problems, no wrecks) and then post the condition of your car, how much you paid for it and what was wrong with it when you got it.

For the US members use the Kelley Blue Book value of the car to determine the Mint Price.

I am sure there is a similar site for European members.

Post a link to your car and in 2 weeks we'll make a poll and vote on who has JW's Biggest Bargain Beater :D

Oh yeah, convert the price of your car into Euros and USD for comparison along with your countries own currency

link to my car: http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?p=603027#603027

fair condition: $980 usd
759.57 Euro

I've put $450usd in tires and suspension on it, $120 for a fuel level sending unit, $30 for fuel injector o-rings, $40 fuel filter, $178 battery and starter. And include the $200 purchase cost, i'm into it $1,018 or 789.02 Euro :D

I'd gladly evaluate my car but the official website here asks you to pay some 8 USD and to be honest it's just dump to waste them like that LOL

then use an aprox value of your car, based on the used car market

mine will cost around 10,000 usd, but right now in its used state is around 8000 usd

EDIT:

btw, this is my car

damn, that sucks dude. you may have been in the running too considering the ignition problem you had a few months ago.

www.kbb.com/

you can see if you can find it here, but i don't know if they'd have the 320. You may need to substitute the 325

I think we know the "winner" already  nothing can beat 200$ Yoda of yours

My Lada was for 643€ or 774$ worked well untill I put my fingers on her  from that time changed oil, oil and fuel filter, changed engine belt(?), middle part of exhaust(bought a wrong one for different type of Samara so now car make sqeeling noises cause it touches something under the car! :x)
2 weeks ago I was boiling the cooling water - all out of the car in 1 minute in the middle of a traffic jam with the car full of people - my buddy came to visit me to Prague  so it was not a nice experience :?

Basically its a piece of crap but it takes me from A to B and thats what I need right now :D

In top condition it costs about 1000-1200€

Thanks, but I found another way.. so on the swiss used marked, I see a 320i from 1995, 138k km selling for 7500 swiss francs. Mine has 105k km atm but there are plenty of minor faults in the bodywork and insde.. I'd say it would go much beyond 6500 CHF, which is 5400 USD

or some 6500 USD for the mint condition version i guess

I have a ford escort 1994. I got it for $500 USD. I've changed the oil a couple times and put new spark plugs in it. I've put about 30k miles on it. Has like 140k miles total. No pics. sorry. It's been my DD for a couple years.

I got my classic mini for 10,000 Dhs which is $2,713.70 and is in good condition. Use to have heck a lot of electtrical problems with it and sometimes it won't even start but other than that it's OK..

Its almost 2 years now sinces I though of going ahead and doing the V-TEC convertion on that car and never had the heart to tear the mini apart to do it..

While editing I remember that I got a cheaper car than the mini..
It's the integra $2,170 but now spend 10 times that amount on rebuilding it into a race car.. 2 year project..lol.. :D

well the trade-in value on my T-bird is a wopping $625 and private party is $1500 but then I have put in $2000 for new engine, $2000 for all the stuff to make it work in the wrong car, $2500 built trans, $350 for new rear end, $450 for tires 2 weeks before I blew the engine up $1500 in go-fast goodies, and much more soon for the handling. so in the past year I have dumped about $9k into it but I did get the car for free from my dad who paid roughly $35k new in 1995. The truck is worth about $18K once I fix the windshield.

If only i could get so lucky. Those $50 cars for me are usually about $5,000. Someone who has a $50 BMW isn't having it serviced at the dealership

I'll probably think of buying one of the cheap ass cars people are flogging on uni noticeboards once I can get more lucrative jobs and save up to cover both intervarsity debating and car maintenance.
