Well some of you know that i'm building an FD RX7 with an LS1 in it. I just ordered the subframe, but i missing critical parts(understatement) and i'm on a time limit. I want it to be done before the U.S. Grand Prix so i can drive it down there. I don't have the car yet, i need a rolling chassis, a 94+ and a black interior. I'm having a lot of trouble finding one, and i also need a 2002+ LS1/T56 combo. I know these are easy to find, but i'm not going to pay $5000 plus for the engine, since it's not worth that. The RX7 chassis is just a pain in arse to find. I need a 94+ because were putting a rear end out of an 03 Cobra, and it is direct bolt in for the 94 whereas the 93 needs welding. Either way i havn't been able to find either of these after very hard searches. This is where i would like to have your help if any of you know where i can get these for a good price.
In the end it'll be putting down 700whp and by no means be ricey. I have good taste people, come on. :D
Thanks for you help, it's deeply appreciated.

Thanks man, these cars are rare as is, but when you want something specific it's even a bigger pain. Right now there is a 2004 LS1 GTO engine and trans on ebay going for $1600 with 2 days left, so this might be my chance.

shit man around here RX7's are impossible to find or they are going for waay too much money. and finding one without the engine/trans will be difficult.
here but they want $20k for it... http://www.shaneracing.com/Import_Drag_Racing_Garage_Sale.html
And for anything on the engine MPG racing engines in Highland Park is a really good place to go.

I thought the stress would go away when school was over, totally wrong :( . Well the engine tuning will be done by Marko D's shop, putting a single turbo in it. Thanks anyways T-bird, i put myself in this predictament.

LS1 with a Single Turbo in an RX-7 body? sounds great to me..
I'll check around my home town (NY tristate area) for a doner RX-7 if you are interested..
It seems you are lookin for something way to specific though.. how important is it that the RX has a black interior?

That'de be great man, thanks. Well the black interior is a preference i have because i'm going to be putting Bride Racing Seats in the car and they only come in black, and i think it'll look a lot better because the exterior is going to a Silverstone Gray.
here in Detroit, would be the easiest place to snag an LS1 engine...i'll have an ask around to some people, although i'm not really too into or informed about american parts here......
i have a sneaking suspicion that finding the RX7 chassis is gonna be quite difficult. Junkyards will be the best bet obviously, but it's not a car which is readily junked. Have you asked around on the RX7 forums?
If you could find it with the T-56 trans already attached that would be awesome. I've bee all over the forums, www.nopistons.com, www.rx7club.com, and www.torquecentral.com and there hasn't been any 94 rollers yet. With this schedule i have, i might be forced to by a 93.
Thanks for all the help JW!! :D
