well, I don't think it was Tom's fault.
I know that Volkswagens, Seat's Audis and so on lock the door for themselves for saftey reasons. I must admit, that I don't know how to change the settings so it wouldn't lock. But in my expirience, just last week with the ibiza FR, I had to constantly push the unlock button so that the codriver could enter the car...

I am agree with you, as he get out the car without problem, Katie's door should have been open too ... IMO, it's not his fault and I don't think he will buy the car after this bad ad

Let's just hope for Veyron buyers the door malfunction isn't going to put them off any future purchase of this niche market car - they dont make enough of them to iron out unexpected faults. But then again you'd think they would check the car inside out before handing it out to a high profile promo.
I hate to be the Bugatti company Managing Director, what an embarrassing promo. Poor Tom :(

He was obviously made to look like a fool, but those 'auto-door' locks are fucking stupid in themselves, and plus, why the fuck didn't the passenger just open the door herself when she saw he couldn't get it open?!

Yeah Tom Cruise really looked like a fool, who are you kidding? I don't care who you are, but on this site I expect everyone should be able to appreciate the veyron. In my book anyone looks cool driving a car like a veyron, enzo, GT etc. I don't quite understand the pleasure some people get out of these little mishaps, and when they happen to a "superstar" they get blown out of proportion. AS if "stars" do not struggle with the same problems that "normal" people have.
Even if Cruise does not own the Veyron (if he wanted one he could afford it) he at least got to drive in it, which is something most of us could only dream of. The only ones who are the "real" fools are the ones with the jealous comments, imo.

Come on chaps, you can see that he only pulls at the door once. The video is clearly editied to make him look stupid.
Auto door locks are designed to prevent car jacking.

My guess is that when he shut the car down, the car unlocked only the driver's door and not the passenger door.
I think people laugh at him because at a premier or big publicity gig, you should have pre-planned everything so that you don't look silly. Something as silly as a door lock? Good thing it wasn't a TVR...the movie would never have gone on. :D

I agree with Cyril and Sm@ck and video probably was edited to "spice" it up a bit wich has worked.
