Here is my history of cars:
Honda Civic-super reliable, never a problem
Golf Sport-nice but nothing great, certainly an upgrade from the Honda in terms of fit and finish, but I didn't feel it was a great car. It had a cool plaid-like cloth interior though.
Golf GTI VR6-I can see why it was voted engine of the year back in the day, I used to love to suprise Mustang GT's, great sound, great performance.
Audi S4 (MTM Stage 2)-I should have never got rid of this car. With the MTM package it was pushing 320 hp. The acceleration during the winter months with cool air was incredible. The quattro with winter tires was not as good as I expected, a lot more gratification in the dry off the line, but I was not impressed with its drivability in the snow. I anticipated it being like a 4 x 4 truck, able to go through anything but it wasn't that good. Twin turbos, all wheel drive and 4 doors, to me it was a 4 door Porsche they never made.
Mini Cooper S-a great car, but when you come down from 320 hp to 163 hp, its a huge letdown. Its brutal on rotten city roads, but smooth curvy roads (which are few and far between in Cleveland, OH) are a real joy. Its superb in the snow, the traction control with front-wheel drive it incredible impressive, believe it or not , I think its better than the quattro S4. The bottom line, will I get another one. Maybe, but the new Audi S3 or RS3 is tops on my list.
