I got into a discussion with a friend and he said that the Quattroporte was prettier than the Rapide Concept. A bunch of friends came over, so we showed them both pictures and not one person said they liked the Quattroporte's look more. So I want to know what the JW community thinks about this. Which would you choose based on looks?

The rapide looks like a coupe with 4 doors ... its just ... not a sedan silhouette , i dont really like it ... The quattroporte is sexier i think .

there's something wrong about the Maser's front end. It really doesn't speak to me. IMO it's too passive looking. The Rapide has a much more focused look and seems as if it has a statement to make. Maybe not the most aggresive, but it makes you take notice.

I like the Rapide more.

Yey!! there we go lol.

Yeah if you look at the quattroporte from the side, the front part is straight and round at the same time. Weird.

Now let`s not forget , that Rapide is only a concept , in it`s final form it could look different

Quattroporte Sport GT anytime , anywhere , any place :P

I'd take the Quattroprote even though I'm a hardcore Aston Martin fan. The rapide looks like the extra set of doors has been forced into the construction and even though it is beautiful a slightly fresher look would be nice, AM should make the designsof it's car differ more.

EDIT...screw that, I think still think the AM looks more classy :D

Well at least they do their cars more different than Porsches. But you have to give them credit for their attention to detail and changing small things that makes the car look more "grown up." Things such as the headlights. Damn those are sexy headlights. All other astons have a light layout that show sportyness, while this one, looks classy. The interior, leather with wood on the back? Wow!

The champagne and chess board is a little overkill, but that ought to be removed right?

Well, I like rapide's lines, but.....

I just think that Aston Martin should stick to making 2 door coupes. It doesn't feel right...

On the other hand, I think ( and I'm trying to be objective) that it's a very cool design. Not in any way over the top, but in it's own way, a design that stands out....

This is a hard decision, the rapide looks amazing, and I have a soft sport for the QP since itīs so unique and different to everything on the market. Iīd probably end up choosing the Rapide, I just wish AM would separate the look on their cars a bit.

I am sort of bored with Aston's cookie cutter approach to design - all their cars are about 95% alike in looks.

I vote QP GT - it looks very cool in the flesh

All AM models looks like same.IMO each model must have its own style. QP is really good looking car comfortable and has a great sound. My votes goes to QP

If I consider the design only, the Rapide is purer than the Quattroporte but it's also like a streched DB9 and I find that they (Aston) don't renew their lines so I prefer the Quattroporte.

my message to Aston is "GIVE US SOMETHING NEW" :bad-words:

getting sick of every aston looking the exact same. :x

^ yeah I thought about putting that one in, but that would deviate the voting results I want to obtain. WOW I didnt think Quattroporte would get that amount of votes. REMEMBER I am just asking for you guys to consider LOOKS.

to tell the truth, I hope aston wont make a 4 doors car... (same as i hope for ferrari, lambo etc..) but it does look good, even better then the Quattroporte..

^ I agree. When I first saw the car, I liked it so much that I didnt care it was a 4 door aston. But yeah, I agree with your juxtaposition of Ferrari and Aston.

I'll admit the aston looks good, but thats just because it looks like a DB9/Vanquish/V8 Vantage.

it looks like they took a BD9, changed the headlights, gave it a Vanquish hood, and cut out a space for the rear doors. if JC is looking for something that beats Porsche in the "lazy design" scheme, it's an aston.

I have seen the Quattroporte in the street and i absolutely love it, and since the Aston is only a concept, i canīt be sure (but my guess is that itīs gonna look fantastic in the flesh). My vote goes to the very beautiful Quattroporte :|

The QP has grown on me since its introduction a few years back, but it still has too much of a Buick-look to it. I would never be seen driving a Buick, and I'd certainly never own one, so despite the charismatic engine, engaging handling, beautifully finished interior and sport/limo composition, I'd have to vote for the Rapide. The Rapide does bear too much of a resemblance to the DB9 and AMV8, but that being said, it is still quite a beautiful car in the metal. Having been so close I could touch it, the detailing is exquisite (As it should be for a concept car) and if put into production, I think it would be a beautiful addition to the Aston range (with a few styling tweaks here and there perhaps.)

Maserati without any doubt! the Aston looks like an ill propotioned coupe, and more: like all the other astons.

neither, i dont like 4 doors!!

Dont like them either, but man, you must have exceptions. 3 years ago, the only 4 door I liked was the M5. Now M5, RS4, Rapide. I think there are more, but I cant remember at the moment.

About the buik look, it resembles one now even more than before. Have you seen the ones with the quattroporte holes on the side?
