A band that has their heads up their asses.

I finally heard Dani California last week and for fuck sake, i thought they were doing a cover of that "last dance with mary jane" song :?

I think the Chili Peppers have finally turned that corner that no band ever wants to.

Fuck you all bitches!~

I dunno wtf ya'll talking about, all I care is that Stadium Arcadium is the fucking shit.

And you really think the band has anything to do with it?

This sounds like another episode of game developers getting bashed for game bugs when the publisher is the one who takes care of the money end of things and tells the dev groups what to do, when and how.

sounds like some1 in the publishing/selling chain came up with some bad ideas...but the chili peppers are by far my favourite band, i LOVE dani california, and i cant wait to get stadium arcadium. every1 thinking otherwise is wrong :)
nah seriously, like or dislike their music as much as you want, but plz dont think they asked for crazy stuff like that, and dont judge them on it...any1 understands its not their idea...
and btw at least here in holland dani california is quite a hit, which sounds to me like the place any band wants to be?

edit: today a friend of mine also pointed out a website where their album sold for €74, with a weird release date (may 14th i believe), and supposedly 3 CD's but only 2 lists of songs... probably just some1 with a hangover screwing up the typing...have you checked the price of the info with other sources?

you act as if they have no control over it. A band with as much clout as they have has some control over their ticket prices.

30 bucks just for info is absurd.

blah blah blah

then dont pre-order.

It's not like preordering is the regular way to get tickets. It's always a pay thing is one shape or form....Like getting an album from Itunes, or winning a radio competition or something like that...

I'm just waiting till they go an official sale.

just do what I did and preorder the album on iTunes and you get Dani California now and then you get to buy tickets 3 days early on ticketmaster.

that is bullshit other warner bros. artist offer free pre-order info.

and pre-ordering a ticket is alot better then waking up @ 8am to get tickets.

Frusciante just needs more money to run away to holland and get high for another 5 years.

STOP THE HATE!

First of Frusciate is clean since Californication to this day. And he is definetly not the one who wants money. The guy gives away his solo work for free for petes sake.....

Anthony is the one whose only been clean last 6 years.

You should read Scar Tissue, great book.

Anyway if they are a bunch of gay junkies why you bother with pre-ordering their tickets :P

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers aren't bad, but they're getting a bit old. Probably time to retire.

Oh show me a band these days that releases an album every year.

How has it been a downhill ride? One Hit Minute with Navaro was a downhill ride. Californication was a great record and By The Way was a good record.

And Stadium Arcadium is the fucking record.

"The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ recent shows at Hyde Park in London set a new world record as the highest grossing concert event at a single venue in music history, bringing in an astonishing $17 million. The three shows (June 19, 20 and 25) sold out within hours of going on sale, had a paying audience of 258,000 punters, bringing in $17,187,234 (approximately £9,115,282) setting a new world record. "

If thats a downhill band then I dunno who isnt.

first off the album isn't even out how do you know it is the 'shit'?
you just living off the hype,
dani california? that song is good, but it isn't better then any song on 'by the way'

as for the concert, that is like $65 a ticket per person. your telling my somone sitting @ the back of the park i gonna pay 65 bones to see ants perform? if that isn't about the money then i don't know what is?

downhill ride, you kinda answered my question
you said it your self,
californication great - by the way good - stadium arcadium is gonna be ok (imo)
great, good, ok. downhill.

you think I was serious when i said that? it was a joke out of anger.
i am angry that i have to pay for pre-sale info because i want to see them because they are a good band IMO, but making people pay to get presale info and to be part of a 'forum' is just GAY IMO. and has nothing to do with the music.

but now that you mention it, if your not on acid, pot, or wiskey your music ain't gonna sound as good as people who are on acid, pot or wiskey :P (just look @ zeppelin, beatles, hendrix, blacksabbath, blue cheer, rolling stones.... the list goes on)

Mate I had the album since Sunday  So I know its TEH SHit  Best work next to BSSM. And BSSM was a braketrhough album, somehting that can only be matched.

As for the concert I dunno man.

I paid 60$ few years ago to see Deep Purple from all the way back of the Amphitiater.

I paid 200$ for two Depeche Mode tickets to see them from...well just behind the floors actually that wasnt that bad a ACC.

Dunno what concerts you go to man, all I know all my concerts the minimum price was always about 50$, thats like the cheapest tickets.

The cheapest I paid for a ticket here was when I went to the Jazz Festival and that was still something like 40$ a pop.

d00de I agree, but I dont htink the band is resposinble for every single dollar that we have to pay be it album or tickets.

Sure they want money, but I dont think their intention is to squeeze the max money out of their fans.
