 That must have hurt!
how about for who/whatever that car ran into! its insanely heavy, and to have this kind of damage it must've carried alot of speed...

2 days, 2 accidents. I wonder how that happened, the side of the car seems to be intact, it's just the front and the back that are severelly damaged. What an upleasant sight seeing the bent grill of an RR on the road :(

i saw that rolls yesterday, what A CAR, wish i have one
And then ppl wonder why the Gumball reputation is going down the slope :bad:
i agree - too much of a flashy/show-off as opposed to a serious driving event.

One day one of those bastards will kill someone............
Well spoken!
It's just getting out of hand with the rich posers that can't drive at all.
I don't think they really can't drive, but couple some stupid behaviour, forgetting it's a rally, not a race and not much sleep and it's a killer combo IMO
Chaos in 1983!

yikez, wonder how that happened.
According to some gumball3000 blog I was reading this morning, the Rolls was racing against Maximillian Cooper in a Ferrari 612 at around 150mph and the Rolls spun out crashing into the barrier.
It also said that they have cought it all on tape, so we'll get to see it in a while...

Ahh what a surprise, bunch of idiots with way more money than sense. And even less driving skill. I don't know the actual events so could be wrong, but the Gumball in general does seem to attract idiots, would love to do it still.
Didn't know the wings were fibreglass, not very regal like, surely it should be milled from solid steel or english oak!
another...
one :)
poor RR
:D

Many cars have broken down!
- Three of the McLaren SLRs have broken down, all with the same alternator problem. Team Polizei would like to point out that only one SLR has ever finished a Gumball. Alex and Michael are disappointed in the performance of the cars; they aren’t posing a big enough threat to the VW built Polizei Bentley!
- The orange Ultima GTR has broken down.

Thanks to Yourk from the M5board who give some reports form Team Polizei.
It has also come to Team Polizei’s attention that many of the European Gumballers are ill equipped for the American leg of this year’s Gumball. Team Polizei has been inundated with questions by non-American drivers over how the police will handle speeding fines. Such news can only mean one thing: The State Police will fill their quota for the month all in one day in such states as Utah, Nevada, and California
Yep - these folks will be in for a rude awakening... the cops have had enough of these psuedo-rallyes blitzing the hiways.
This year you may see some serious charges levied at people.. remember the the full repercussions of the Enzo/Gizmondo/Eirk the crook have not been realized yet.
