Well, this time I went back w/ the D50. Sorry it took over a month to sort this out, but I had way over 200 pictures :) . Sadly none of them were "spectacular" :(.

But here are some of them anyways. Let me know if anybody wants Hi-Res & high quality ones, I had to compressed them a bit to get them on to Image Venue.

Of course comments are welcomed!!! (Both good and bad please ;) .)

I love the pics ...

This is my fave ... http://img152.imagevenue.com/loc250/th_29136_DSC_0070.jpg

perfect framing of the waterfall between the trees and symmetry of the two closest tree trunks.

My next favorite is the pic of the mountain almost fully covered by the cloud. Looks very nice.

ae86_16v, Have you driven to Tiaga Pass? I am not sure if it is open now but 120E will be awesome with spring blooming.

Thanks for the comments everyone!!!

No I haven't. Actually that is one of the roads I want to take to go to Tuolumne Meadows. Suppose to be really nice there.

But you are correct, when I went at the end of last month, the road was either closed or had significant restrictions (chains/4WD/AWD).

Maybe take a weekend trip out there :D.

Nice pics and spectacular views.
I'm going there in september.

Definitely worthwhile trip! Let me know if there are any questions I could answer for you. Where are you planning on staying?

Here are some pics from my trip there in 2004... stop by Lake Tenaya as well, the lake is very reflective and changes color depending on the background

We are making a 3 week tour in september starting and arriving in San Francisco visiting LA, Vegas and several national parks in between.
I'll post our detailed route in a new topic later on.

Beautiful pictures you've taken ae86!

http://img152.imagevenue.com/loc250/th_29136_DSC_0070.jpg is my fav

along with these two
http://img104.imagevenue.com/loc139/th_28653_DSC_0028.jpghttp://img149.imagevenue.com/loc271/th_28945_DSC_0040.jpg

The rest of the pics are definitely beautiful.. these pics I selected stand out.. You can tell you gave more thought before pressing the shutter button. Setting up the borders with the trees.

Are these straight off the SD card or do you touch these up in photoshop?

You should definitely try shooting in RAW and using Nikon Capture Editor to boost the color and quality of these beautiful landscape pictures.
