perhaps this isn't the full in-depth report yet; that will be coming at a later time; with a full range of shots. In any case, this is the same car that will be reviewed.
This event was at the Autozone books and hobies shop on 14 mile and Woodward on 4/22/06; and I felt i have enough great shots of this beast to warrent it being in the photoshoots section.
besides the info in my current sig. This is the only production Vector with cirtified California Emissions; and also the second most powerful W8 from the factory (not aftermarket) and will run 1200 hp on 114 octane (mon+ron)/2
The ground clearance is true 4"; where it can handle curbs; and railways much better then many other supercars since its underbody is largely flat, and where it isnt; it is cleanly tucked within the 4" area.... Damn this thing is LOW  ! I was suprised to see the engine is mounted transversely; damn that sucker is wide!

Me too I always loved this American futuristic car. In this white scheme, it looks like the F-117 Nighthawk (USAF 53rd Test Evaluation Group) on 4 wheels.
It's definitively the only supercar which looks like the most of a jet fighter as well outside as inside (see those computers and the flying manual inside the car).
Thanks nthfinity for those pix, this is an awesome car sight. :good:

Most of my white F117 pictures are inside of books that I have. :(
But here some pix I found on the net.

Martijn, coming from you, thats a Huge compliment! :)
I previously didn't like the vector much; but i didn't know a whole lot about it... then because of the weekly car show i go to; I met a guy who not only owned this car; but also built it...
he is such a wealth of information on all things automotive; and definately an expert on the Vector.
the M12 was strictly a re-bodied Diablo (chrysler years had only sold 9 Diablos; and Megatech needed to sell the cars "as-new" so they switched the engine around 180 degrees; and put on a getrag 5 speed) the car was now a diablo chassis that was re-bodied... and crap... only one real Vector employee still worked for "Vector" after the hostile takeover.
the W8 was so extremely engineered, that its still faster then 99% of the fastest cars out there; and it is a 3 speed automatic! 1rst 86mph, 2nd 167mph, 3rd 242 mph rpm limited!
the trans can handle upwards of 1500 hp, and with 114 octane, the car runs 1200 hp @12 psi; and with premium fuel, it runs 725 hp @8 psi.
Kurt, the owner has agreed, and is excited about the true story of the W8 being written up by yours truly!
the ride will come later this summer; as the car isn't titled for Michigan yet as Mrs. Granholm wants thousands and thousands to have it titled... he's going to title the car for Arazona (his other house) and transfer the title to michigan... at that time, i'll get a ride in it.

its hard for me to call this a "real" photoshoot... but the quantity, and quality of the pictures are quite nice...
the full photoshoot of the W8 will be at a later time; including some awsome panning shots, night shots etc. :)

Great shots. You definitely got to get behind that cockpit. From the recent video that was posted about the Vector, it seems it was made pretty easily to drive. Only 3 automatic gears. I'm sure all the instrumentation could easily confuse you though..
