This Countach is a prime example of what NOT to do to a supercar. This body kit looks like any other cheap body kit you would see on those stupid tuner cars that add the ridiculous plastic fake spoiler or a useless ground effect plastic parts, which serve only one purpose, to show how bad your taste of style is!
And this one was done by the company itself, which makes it even worse.

who the hell did that bodykit?
If the model number of the car on eBay (LP500S) is correct, then the bottom portion is custom add on, and a really nasty one at that. Since the factory LP500S car only comes with the spoiler and the wheel fenders.
The top one is in the factory kit. It looks a bit better then the one on eBay, but still need to get rid of the wheel fenders or at least the huge wing.

On the bottom one we can see how poorly they tried to duplicate the later Countache (LP500 QuattroValvole) with the similar ground effect kit. But the way this one was executed is just horrid to look at. :puke: Notice how the bottom of the car doesn’t line up with the raised front. Again, pretty Nasty.

The Countach was never a fine handling car, the wheel fenders and a wider track were basically meant for looks. And if I had to pick I would go for the original one with the narrower width and without wheel fenders.
And when I said the factory (LP500S) car still needs to lose the wheel fenders and/or the wing, I was saying it not literary, I was simply saying it would look better like the previous Countaches without those add-ons, like some LP400S without the spoiler from the factory or the LP400 without any of those things!

The discussion here is how this Countach looks right now, since none of us here will actually buy one, or at least I know I wouldn't.
All I'm simply saying is that the original LP400 was a pure and beautiful masterpiece, and a timeless design done by an excellent designer (Marcello Gandini).
The later versions just added unnecessary body kits add-on's to satisfy the crowd and style of the '80's which only made the car look fat and ugly.
I'm just a person who love's the pure, clean, and sexy Italian style that the original Lamborghini Countach perfectly showcased, and not some "pussy Lambo hater" :wink: :)

Just because you love a particular car company, or share a huge passion towards it, does not mean you should love every car they make. woah this topic is getting heated. I dont know if I dare say this, but I was never a fan of the original coutach, but I actually like the one for sale on ebay. Not that I'd ever think of buying it, even if I did have the money to do so.

I think not enough people get out to enjoy driving with diverse groups of auto fans and somehow forget we are all in this gig together.. ;)
If only all the opinated fanboys realized how many of us actually love ALL hipo cars - and are quite tolerant of even the pedestrian econo box... after all, we are moto-nuts... right?

Like I mentioned earlier in the post when I was talking about the earlier version of the Countach, I could live with the LP400S, but only without the wing like you said. However, I would take the LP400 (original) any day over the other ones.

Fact is, the Corvette is a diamond in the rough. It is one of the few cars that doesn't require 10 grand in mods to scare the living fuck out of any Ferrari, Porsche or Lambo.
Give me 5 grand and the engine itself will out muscle those posers. Naturally aspirated. Another 2 and the gearing will devour any track.
I would like a serious answer to these questions. And no, "it's a plastic GM product" is NOT a serious answer. It's about as valid an answer as a woman's "because i said so" response when she's backed into a corner :roll:

Why does a car have to be upwards of 100,000 smackers to be glorified, reveled upon and drooled over?
Fact is, the Corvette is a diamond in the rough. It is one of the few cars that doesn't require 10 grand in mods to scare the living fuck out of any Ferrari, Porsche or Lambo.
Give me 5 grand and the engine itself will out muscle those posers. Naturally aspirated. Another 2 and the gearing will devour any track.
I would like a serious answer to these questions. And no, "it's a plastic GM product" is NOT a serious answer. It's about as valid an answer as a woman's "because i said so" response when she's backed into a corner :roll:
First of all, don't believe RC45, he makes it sound like everybody here hates corvettes :D
Second: The discussion in this topic is not about people hating corvettes, so you got the wrong one buddy. :wink:
Third of all, I think the new Z06 Corvette is an excellent car for money. Hell, who wouldn’t want a supercar performance for 60k! (although I do prefer the design of the C5 over the C6) If I had the money I would definitely buy the new vette.
Don't sweat it ZMan.. ;) I don't - I just chuckle and then go for a quick hustle through the woods and dream of one day having an F-Car or even Porker appear in my rearview mirror and pass me on the outside...
...then wake up from my day dream, as I have yet to see an F-Car out in the woods.. :P ;) (the few Porkers that have come out were close but no cigar :P - and here I am a conservative slow driver - imagine if I actualy knew what I was doing...)

At least they don't come with cheesy stick-on bodykits... I mean the way they attacked this poor Lambo I can only imagine what would happen if the Z was 100hp weaker, 40mph slower and had a great big heavy addd on body kit.. :P

Why does everyone hate the Corvette? Seriously. It's probably the one car that has held it's strength in sales, and gotten stronger in performance, than any other sports car out there, without getting so egotistical that it's put out of reach of 95% of the population by an unjustifiable price.

anytime the vette gets brought up, there are always people who come out of the woodwork against it.
anyway, in all regards to the countach: For it's time, it was a breathtaking car. One way or another. But nowadays, it's limitations are painful, it's upkeep is dreadfully expensive and it's current value resembles nothing of what the icon it once was. The body kit shown is ricey even by todays standards, but money can't buy everything and on that list, taste is included.
It's lines however, are still echoed in their cars. Though not as sharply or blatantly futuristic as done in the countach, they are still fairly aggresive, but not menacing.
While i'm not sure if i would ever turn down the keys to one if i were offered them, i am sure i would not actively seek to buy one.

Well - the very same could have been said about the C5 Z when new... and even more so now that they are very cheap used cars. ;)
