Got invited to a Budget convention (although I probably won't go). That's not the issue. I was actually at the Holy Grail last night (well, part of this morning as well), for a private function (so underage drinking was allowed :)), and it is just not the type of place I would expect pollies to hang out. Who goes there often, and do politicians really like hanging out there?
For those who don't know, it's in (Canberra) Civic just down the road from Myer (the Canberra Centre). It has a nice bar (which was less attractive when the tab ran out), some decent pool tables ($2 per game) and plenty of space including a mezzanine, but pretty shit music.
