View Full Version : Apr 16th: The Hangar!
Beeing in Sicily, please understand me if I won't spend many words on this update. Basically it's one of those secret storage spaces where ppl store (doh!), their cars when they don't need them.
Probably not the best one in Switzerland but damn fine and the red 300SL Gullwing, 512BB, Dino or 250GT alone were worth the trip!
As always, click any preview to be taken to the full update

now, why would you stick a Jag E-type in a climate control bubble but not a 300SL? :?
You'll see it has a Jag E-type to protect if you'll check out the rest of the pics ;)

gullwing in red .. damn sexy :drool::drool::drool:
LOL ok, you were too quick ;) actually the Jag and the 300 don't belong to the same guy, so we can say the Jag's is more paranoid than the Merc's ;)
And off I am, good night and see you tomorrow for some more tourist pics in the holydays' section ;)

Nice collection there, the 250 GT PF Coupe is the standout IMO - although I prefer them in darker colours. :)
Shame some of them were covered up, couldn't you just remove the covers? :P
Are these storage units open for the public?

Thanks for the birthday present ;) That yellow Diablo is beautiful.

Actually all the cars were fully covered and I had to remove them to take the pics. If the covers are always still partially on the cars it is because it's much easier to re-cover them all in the end, or else it would have took the whole day ;) Some of them like the Dino and 512BB are owned by a nice guy that wouldn't mind taking them at least outside the hangar for some pics ;)
And no, this place is private and pretty stealth.

Your thinking very small ARMAN..
I need a job that will get me a hanger with those type of cars. :D

I actually like the fact they are still partly covered. It just fits perfectly in this hangar environment :D
Nice collection and nice pics, TT!

Thanks TT, some nice classics there
:!: Guys, a quick request: if you saved some of the pics in this update, please DO NOT share them elsewhere on the net anymore. I got some complaints from some of the owners and actually the owner of the hangar himself got some. We can understand them or not (the latter for me), but it's their opinion and I don't want the owner of the place to have problems so I erased all the pics and the page itself from my website and JW
thanks!

I will never understand this, the plates were blanked out for sh!ts sake - no one will know who owns the car. These people really get on my nerves actually, share what you have with others who enjoy it - I know I would if I owned nice cars. :?
And what did they think you were doing in there with a camera clicking away, cleaning the cars? :?

Indeed, pointless. Please note I told to NOBODY where this hangar is located... so really the wrong reaction IMO. Especially since everything seemed to start from the E-Type in the air tent owner. Honestly, there are tons of similar E-types around, it's not like his car is unique or whatever. Anyway a couple of phone calls where made and soon several owners saw the pics and called the owner of the place. One of the apparently even cancelled his two parking places and is taking his cars elsewhere
Of course they were not there when I took the pics, but the hangar's owner was, I asked him permission to take and share the pics and he was enthousiastic about it.. so all this fuss is kinda disappointing. I had him at the phone earlier tonight to beg his pardon since someway I feel guilty (wrongfully...) and he was kinda puzzled too. Like us, he doesn't understand such extreme reaction..
Let's move on. Sadly it's pointless to waste time discussion the same old issue. Some ppl are like that and we should try to respect if not understand that

^ IMO you don't have to feel guilty TT, the owner of the place agreed to take pics and post them ... well, this guy cancelling the parking would anyway have complained about dust or anything else  , just to "blame" someboy (his real "problem" or "anger" is probabely related with something different (wife,...))
Well, of course a little sad that he got these complains, IMO the owners were probabely surprised, maybe first they thought "panic, our secret storage is published in the net, blablabla,..." , which leads to these phone call. I'm sure, most of them would have agreed to take a few pics, if they would have been there ...
enough said, I saved some pics on a CD - but they are secure, don't worry!
