How much is it doable? I mean what chance you have to make it your main income source? Is it possible to sell from countries that are not where the eBay is?(like Czech?)
What are the risks? etc etc

But is it possible to work outside eBay "zone"? Are there some rules that restrict it? Or do people buy something otside that "zone" or sell into?

There are some books on it but I dont think they are in czech ether like from Dummy's series. Is it any good?

Please share your experiences/thoughts.

Internet business is almost in non-existing here at the moment, so any tips and hints are welcomed :)

I do a little ebaying, mostly for stuff I dont want to / can't buy new

Things I have bought: - old PC games (Diablo: Hellfire expansion pack), car and motorcycle parts, my motorcycle pants and jacket.

It is pretty safe - I always use credit cards and paypal wherever possible.

Arman you could probably make a bit on Skoda parts as I can point all the enthusiasts in your direction and you live in the country of origin

My wife wins a lot of stuff from competitions and anything we don't want we ebay it.

I'm currently bidding on some 17" Octavia vRS alloys, there's a surprise lol

Hey arman, I make money from ebay. About £100 - £150 average. But it can vary largely on how many bids you get and so forth, you can have a good week, and you can have a bad week. Think the most ive got is £220. You can potentally make more by putting more items for sale, but one thing I found with ebay is, you can start selling loads of stuff, but you can struggle and get in mess, because it gets confusing if you have 15 items+ to post. So thats my exsperience for you.

@Daggernite - just out of curiosity, what do you sell(PM if you dont want to say it here) if its not a secret ofcourse and how many items you have to sell to get 100-150ł a month?

Just car parts, car accessories, I'm trying diffrent things all the time, if they do well i keep listing stuff. I'll PM you my Ebay sellers page. At the momment I'm selling windscreen wipers, and mesh and sometimes throw in various boy racer/ricer products like LED's flashing tax disks and stuff like that. I dislike Ricers but they spend good money on stuff, so I take the oppertunity to make abit of money

Also alittle tip if your planning to do alittle buisness on ebay. Say you have alot of one item to sell on ebay, lets say for example you have 50 watches. and on one auction your item has 6 individual bidders. Theres a feature on ebay where you can send second chance offers to each bidder. So from one listing you made. You can sell to 6 people for the highest bid they made.

Cracking tip, cheers for that.

Now what can I buy really cheap here, and sell on ebay to the UK?

Cigs would be a great idea but not technically legal.

Petrol not practical alas!

Arman, if I still had the chance, I would sell some red-commie stuff. Ppl buy lots of stuff of those days.
Of course I'm telling this because I imagine you have relatives in Russia that could get you that kind of stuff.

i use to sell and buy alot on ebay, and if you have the resources to get things cheap then you can def make money on ebay. though since its not in Czech, im not sure how that would work out.

good luck though!!

I have access to same old hometextile  It is possible to buy/sell as I've discovered today but paypal works only for paying(you cannot receive money yet), moneybookers.com do that sevice i just dont know how many users on ebay use them for money transfers :? czech credit cards are not accepted

Yesterday couldnt sleep till 4 in the morning, today was thinking of it all the day thinkung of ideas what to sell, wich product is needed and wanted atm wich i can find here in czech manufactured http://img66.imageshack.us/img66/9123/10422847080jy.gif (http://www.imageshack.us) except skoda add ons ofcouse as TransAm suggested.

Is it needed to have parts(for example) bought or its possible to do it when its needed to go and by from the wholesale cause I am totally broke atm :|

Do people use bank money tranfers? Many of them?
I heard a suggestion on some czech site that to have "EU" account in a bank(outside czech) is better cause of rates so you just drive few hours to the first german city and open a proper german bank account and people have no problems to pay on it 8)

My friend bought like 20 He-Man toys (mattel 1985 editions) from a closing toy shop in bolivia. Those asses didnt know that He-Mans were collectibles now. He has been selling those mofos like hell. Bought them like at 4$ in Bolivia, selling at 80$ on ebay.

Arman: as far as I know you can't recieve payments to your "Czech paypal" account, unless they've changed the policy since the last time I checked (last year). So be sure to read through their website.

Well, it isn't THAT easy :). You will also have hard time explaining to some potential customers why is that you're paypal account is registered in an another country :).
