hi
in July I'm going to Los Angeles for 2 weeks
are there any must-see-things ? preferably car-related ...
I'm going with my family,
starting in LA, grand canyon, Las Vegas, LA (that are the big events)
the last LA stop will be for 2-4 days, and in 1hotel, so we dont need a big car to take our luggage with us those days
does anyone knows where I can rent a "super"car in LA ? more like a fun car ... porsche, mustang (convertible), M3(or M5), nissan 350z ... that kinda cars
and what about The Eurosundays, is it worth it to go and see it on a normal sunday?
greetz
will provide pics offcourse :) but we have still some time to go
EDIT: euh, I noticed that the driver has to be atleast 21years (for a rental) ... is this everywhere? because I'm only 19 then ...

I live near both Los Angeles and San Francisco, and they are both great cities. I believe that you may have problems renting a car if you are 18 years old, but since you are going with your family you shouldn't have a problem. You may want to do a google search for "exotic car rental southern california" or "exotic car rental orange county" and you will get some results. One of the ones that I found was http://www.bhrentacar.com/about_us.php
You can rent many cars there, ranging from an Acura TL, BMW 325i, Nissan 350z, BMW Z4, etc all the way up to a Ferrari F430. I would reccomend just going around LA and enjoying the big city, it is a pretty cool place to hang out for a few days. If you can, definitely drive an hour south to Orange County and check out the GREAT beaches! Like Everso said, check out San Francisco if you can. It is also a nice city like LA, but in a different way. Anyways, have a great time!

All you bitches coming out to L.A. need to look me up. It is my life-long goal to meet all long standing JW members.
Sadly Spidey, most of the rental places around here you need to be 25 years old. If you had plans on renting a 360, Viper, 911 Turbo, or something along those lines, look to spend anywhere from $700 to $3000 a day, depending on where you go. For instance, a 430, on average, is about $2500 a day. Your still nice, but not exotics, more along the lines of a Corvette, 3 Series, 350Z, will run you $150 to $400 a day. Then you have your standards, like Neons, Cobalts and the like, which cost like $30 to $50 a day.
Where are you coming from? If you like, before you head this way, get my cell number. I wouldn’t mind showing you around.

For car guys, here are some of the things in the LA vicinity:
1. Petersen Museum - great collection of classic cars like the Duesenberg (see here (http://www.petersen.org//url))
2. The Nethercutt Musuem - this guy has several awesome cars that won the Pebble Beach Concours de Elegance (see here (http://www.nethercuttcollection.org/index2.html//url))
3. Crystal Cove car meet --> every Saturday between 7-9am (see here (http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39417//url))
I assume you will be hitting Disney and Universal as well. Since you are headed to Las Vegas, may I suggest you drive northeast of LV to the Valley of Fire (~50 miles) - the valley seems ablaze at sunrise and sunset from the reflection of the sun of the red rocks.
The Grand Canyon will be an awe inspiring sight. Hope you get a clear day. :)
