The track day season is getting on full speed, so time to post some Spa pics. I can't sadly post a lot of supercars in a nice sunny environment like Salegosse, cause it was raining :) Only in the late afternoon it stopped raining and started to dry up. Good to take some pics, and for my clothes to dry :D. But it wasn't a good situation for the drivers, since the track is quite dangerous when it's drying up. Which resulted in a lot a crashes :(
I'll post the small preview pics over here, but you can find all highres pics by clicking on this link (http://users.skynet.be/fa344132/fotokes/2006/spa20060402/Spa_20060402.htm) or by clicking on the pics.
For starters this Ford GT. It flew past me on the highway. I tried to take a pic, but it ended up to be out of focus. Luckily for me this beast was also going to the track. The bad thing was it stayed only for an hour or so and it was raining cats and dogs back then. So I've only this pic, the other ones aren't worth posting.

Another star of the show was this 550 Maranello. Very original colour combo and I dig it. The owner also changed the colour of the side indicators and the car had black Ferrari badges, perfection :D

Some other prancing horses entered the track, including three F430 challanges. One crashed, two survived. As you can see, there was a lot of water standing on the track.

Most cars were Porsches, and an ideal Porsche track day car is a GT3 of course. And sometimes they are parked next to each other, making it easier to take a nice combo shot :).

And if a GT3 isn't track day oriented enough, the GT3 RS is the solution. Only one of them attended this track day. Maybe the other owners were waiting for the delivery of their 997 GT3 at home :P

And if a GT3 RS still isn't hardcore enough, a GT3 Cup offers all you need.

Radicals are selling like hot cakes these days. Every track day there are more and more of these fast machines.

There is one place where I always wanted to take pics. It's on top of the Raidillion, just next to a marshal 'cabin'. This spot should have a nice view down onto Eau Rouge and the second start-finish straight. But to be able to access it you've to pass the marshal cabin. That's of course not allowed and not possible. Everything is fenced and the gate leading to the marshal cabin is closed. But this time I was lucky: the gate was open. I still wasn't able to sit on the exact spot where I wanted to be, but I'm getting closer :D Maybe next time I can sit a bit lower (which would give a better sense of height) and I really need more zoom. The cars look too small now, but you can see where I'm going for ;) So here's a preview pic of that spot, with an E46 M3 CSL going up.
