Agree with you Rossi rocks!
I donīt believe that Alonso could raise with the F1 the diference that Rossi put in with the bike. And for rally car the things will were similar.
Surely that the bike is more dificult to ride, except in fast curves where the car goes thoroughly and the bike had gone of braking.

Apart from I want to say (acording with spanish press ) that was Alonso who begins the duel probably after have seen how Rossi only was few decims slower than Massa! (to me)

But all this happens because this person (Alonso) yeah! itīs very good driver probably the most complete actually (and he really knows) is an abnorm guy.

Alonso has been reading too much of his own publicity.

Ronin, that's bullshit. The fact that you contribute Alonso's title to luck shows that you don't have a fucking clue about F1.

However, Alonso is a coward though not going into Rossi's proposal after having such a big mouth about Rossi.

His luck was the result of Kimis no luck.

That wasn't luck, but McLaren's simply being capable of building a reliable car. Alonso kept cool the whole year and had the best car. I'm not saying he's the fastest, but you gotta give credit where credit is due, Alonso performed impressively.

I watched every race last reason and i can say Alonos did have a great deal of luck on his side, that pulled him through and poor kimi, well he will be going to Ferrari next year ? But no doubt Alonso had the skill to back the car up, but some races were just served on a plater for him.

forza rossi ! :D
Alonso should shut the hell up, hes not as good as he thinks, or as everyone thinks, he has just had the best car, the best reliability and good luck (as in kimi deing in first place or for a podium finish and the engine blowing, and Ferrari having an awful car and awful tyres)

lol whats your point lol?

Is Kimi a Macca engineer all of a sudden?

No he isnt.

He's just a driver who is given a car that never goes more then oh so many laps.

Hence he has no luck on his side.

I dont know how else to put it............. :?

So you are telling me that Kimis crash at Nurburgring where his front suspension shattered from a flat-spot was Mclaren's reliability? Alonso did what 90% of other drivers did, nothing out of the ordinary.

Alonso's first flying lap would see him highsided over a fence. And i'd loop the replay in gif form in my avatar to the end of the world.

I really want to see Rossi attack F1. I think he'd be great at it and with relatively little practice. he'd just have to learn that you can't scrub the tires to turn in F1 the way you can motoGP.

LOL, because Kimi had some bad luck, the title of Alonso was pure luck? Because that is what you kids conclude...Alonso got some races on a platter because the competition failed, but that doesn't make him lucky.

Renault did what they were supposed to do, the others couldn't step up that plate. Built a fast car which much reliability. Alonso is a very capable driver. That combination got them the titles. That has nothing to do with luck from their side.

Apart from the US where he didn't start, Canada where he retired and Monaco/Hungary where he got 4th/11th place, he was on the podium every race (15 races!). That shows consistency, even more impressive on his age. Raikonnen retired twice, did not start in the US, and got 3 bad results.
I felt he was the faster one second half of the season. But just missed the title (unfortunately, as I'm rooting for him).

But bottom line is that Alonso deserved the title and didn't get it handed on luck only.

sure thing mate, anything you say!! shut the trap and go watch the whole of last season then come back to me!!

I saw the whole last season. But unlike you I don't think like a degenerate with an ample gene-pool and actually have a fucking clue what I'm talking about. You on the other hand are kinda like the village idiot. Annoying most of the times, and seldomly anything contributing. STFU.

Ouch! That's harsh, from a fellow Spaniard.

I think Alonso is a good Formula One driver. Maybe not the best in terms of natural talent, but he deserved his title last year. However, unless Alonso has a hidden talent (motorcycle riding), Rossi would be the victor in his challenge. Of course, one would expect that.

Unless you have been riding since you are 3 months old - and hence have a decade or more of winning bike racing experience, and are fearless and are god-like and are fearless and god-like and like a god and have nerry any fear and young and have no fear and be just like a god in someways being fearless and god-like, there is no way in hell a 20 something, much less a 30 something driver can switch to MotoGP (or any top level bike competition).

None what so ever.

You need so much instictual experience to draw upon at those levels... even a Schumacher could not pull it off... ;)

I would love to see the challange, but they would need to start with F1 so that we get to see Rossi whip him soundly on both platforms.. :P - if they start with bikes Alonso will take months to recover from his wreck... ;)

Well Rossi is just an arrogant bitch. Not only has he got one up on Alonso, because he has driven rally cars on many occasions as well as tested an F1 car (am I right there?).

And driving a car didn't seem so easy when he crashed out on the first stage (!) of Rally GB, even after the co-driver had given him numerous warnings for that corner. I'm for Alonso all the way if there ever is a duel.

I don't exactly see how alonso is humble in any aspect. And now he's doing animal bits when he win a GP race, how is that mature?

If Kimi had a reliable car he would have the title. Period.

No one denies that Alonso and Renault did their job. They did it better then anyone else on the grid.

But the fact remains that Kimi was never given a proper car.

i seem to recall him setting some record for most number of continuous laps led (until his front suspension failed on the final lap)... what happened to that reliability ;)

BTW, what was the situation with Rossi's doctorate? He doesn't seem to be the most literate of people.

I never really said that he's mature, but I still think Rossi is a bit more arrogant. Personally I would have done the 2nd animal bit as well, just to piss of those animal rights people that have a problem with everything, just as long as they get attention. :P

IMO i think alonso has become alot more arrogant and bih headed after winning the title. Last year he wasn't so arrogent quite modest in fact i guess it's because he has so much confidence and everything just seems to be falling in place for him, 1 world champion ship, 28/30pts in the 06 season with a very fast car and a multi-year contract with mclaren. I guess he has alot to be bullish about.

why is it harsh coming from Dani?? hes just one of the few Spaniards that hasnt been blinded by the sun's gleam off alonso's chin!!

that SOB cock sucking mother fucking asshole!! (alonso, ofcourse)

I would love to see the challange, but they would need to start with F1 so that we get to see Rossi whip him soundly on both platforms.. :P - if they start with bikes Alonso will take months to recover from his wreck... ;)

i dont see a problem with this at all!! i would love to see alonso in a wreck and then have him come back to F1 and see how he does. can he do what Schumi did after his wreck, get back in the seat as if he never left, i dont think so!!

Well Rossi is just an arrogant bitch. Not only has he got one up on Alonso, because he has driven rally cars on many occasions as well as tested an F1 car (am I right there?).

if i recall correctly, alonso claimed luck didnt play any part in his season last year until he crashed out in Montreal!! alonso is by far much more arrogant then Rossi, Rossi has some natural talent that alonso only wishes he had 1/100th of what Rossi has!!

Well at the end of the mother fucking day(sorry alot of swears going around), Alonso won the title and he is also leading the world champion ship by 14 points so if he talent or not he's still a champion this zero talent bullshit is well bullshit, he's a quick yet smart racer he doesn't throw away races by passing backmarkers and flatspotting his tyres. He doesn't spin in races he rarely made mistakes last year McLaren had the fastest package last year 3 tenths quicker than renault up to the last race but didnt have the reliability, it's like LeMans you could build the fastestcar on the grid but if it isn't reliable then forget your chances. Both rossi and alonso are greats within their particular category and even though rossi said he would be 12s quicker than on a bike well its a damn site easier to go from bike to car rather than vice versa. Last year schumi tried out the Ducati MotoGP Biki and was 20s off Loris Capirossi's best time and you can not tell me schumi does not have talent.

I saw a feature today on a motorsports program about Rossi, Ferrari and F1. Featured an interview with David Coulthard who said something about the fact that there's no point in hiring a guy who is merely close to Michael Schumacher. They need to hire someone who is at least of the same standard, and preferably better. So even though Rossi is OK in an F1 car, he's not good enough. Just like Alonso will never be good enough in a motorcycle. To compare the two would be like comparing apples and oranges. However, your best bet for this nonsensical challenge would have to be Rossi.

STFU.

I don't believe in "if this, if that" BS. The only way to see how they are stacking up against each other is when given identical cars. Otherwise it's all guessing anyway.

McLaren was incompetent, period. But like I said, Alonso got so much podiums it's sheer BS to blame it on luck. LOL, McLarens car was in general faster the second half of the season, but does that make Kimi the better driver then?

Again STFU, only speak about something if you have a fucking clue about it, and please stop sounding like a freaking fanboy.

Exactly, as dani said, I wish Alonso was more polite and inteligent sometimes when a interview; nonetheless Ive no hesitate and doubt about his driving abilities since he has everything; drivings skills, a lot of technique, inteligency,......however, IMO Carlos Sainz is much more polite, and hes probably much better when negociating with conpanies in order to get some sponsorship

Nonetheless, in terms of Alonsomania or the Alonso phenomenon, is not the driver the main problem at all; its just his environment; the journalists and illerate supporters who dont have any point of view or opinion, and they believe accurately what the journalists say although their comments arent accurate nor similar to reality at all

sameerrao

Being in the US, we are not in the grip of Alonsomania or any other F1 mania for that matter.

That's why I get perplexed when I see all those posts with "Die Alonso, Die" Makes no sense to me ... even Michael was perceived to be arrogant before he won his first WDC.

While no one can deny Michael's abilities, his early character was such that it polarized people into hating him or loving him. The fact that Michael has sort of mellowed down (no more of pushing someone close to the wall to prevent him from overtaking) and his taking the role of the senior statesman in F1 means that more people like him than hate him.

I am in awe of Alonso, Kimi and Michael with regard to their driving talent, speed and on-track wizardry. Their off-track personality, perceived arrogance or lack of it, etc. are things that dont matter to me.
