They tested the 156 , and probably with a Selespeed gearbox

The new ALFA`s are in a different league of reliability :D

But this makes me laugh , Kia more reliable than Subaru ?

:bs:

This article is a joke

Hyundai more reliable than Audi....and Daewoo more reliable than Citroen??

My theory is, if you're dumb enough to buy a korean car, you wouldn't know what's going on until your car starts falling apart.

meh I'm at uni and can't open pdf files :( But from what yo have listed the results seem very fishy. I agree with Alfa's being very unreliable, but the poition of Saab has suprosed me. Afterall the report is Swedish so they should know best.

new korean cars ,kia sorento for example re almost good as european , and cost less, they re good, and im sure they re reliable, cos using simple technology, yeah, kia or hyundai re copyring almost everythink, but it looks ,they re on good way to suceed

don't want to start a new fight here... but I think it's not the re-badged Daewos which makes Chevys reliability so poor
I think youd be surpised then.. Considering gm is number 3 in jd powers surveys.. only behind honda and toyota. Now granted Buicks and Cadillacs are the bullet proof, but real chevys are generally reliable... discounting the cavalier that is no longer made here. A list of the top 10 unreliable cars in America would start with korean cars and prolly progress towards everything daimler chrysler makes. (Throw in some mitsubishis for good measure.)

In fact.. for all the things they do poorly (interiors, build quality(gaps ect), ect) the one thing gm has managed to do consistantly is build cars that dont break. Would you want a monti carlo that refused to die? Prolly not... But it prolly won't, or if it does itll be small shit.
Take the camaros as a great example. A 200000 mile chevy small block will at most prolly have a valve seal leak(unless your a complete idiot). There is a benefit of kiss(keep it simple stupid) engineering.

'Old Chevys don't die.. They rust away after 30 years'

you forgot to mention JD power makes the manufacturers pay quite heavily for thier "data" and... well, many are fairly sure to get high on the list of 'good + reliable' notwithstanding the absolute lemons; which nobody could get away with.

I'm still surprised not to find more frenchie cars in the worst top10... where's Citroën and Peugeot??
Maybe they have a rule the car can't die before the reviewer even gets it. That or maybe no one is dumb enough to buy french so they ignore them.
