Pretty interesting video to watch, I like the sketch in the vid, but it probably wont look anything like that.

But Honda just got through telling everyone that all cars would be anemic hybrids by 2009... so what gives? ;) :P

Why front engine ? :( I would like to see an F430 competitor ...

the hybrid accord is faster then the v6 powered accord. :) so honda knows how to make mpg and power :P

i'd like to see a track comparison... say NS  if it is faster around NS, then i'd be more impressed (but not actually impressed)

But is 13m12s really faster than 12m26s? :P ;) Or might that account for test driver weight differences? ;)

BTW, it becomes absolutely nillified if somehow that hevier pig with a big battery gets worse mpg, and ends up being "faster"

And isn't it about time cars actually got a "resource factor" or "total earth cost" applied to them?

Something that shows how much green house gasses and pollution and resource depletion went into producing the bodywork, interior electronics and glass etc... then this factor was INCLUDED in the EPA mileage estimate.

I am sure the TOTAL "earth cost" for a hybrid car, is the same (or may even be higher) than a regular car, and that the difference in gasoline consumption (if any) would be insugnificat in comparison to the "earth cost" of the entire manufacturing process... especially considering most of the manufacturing now takes place in outsourced, uncontrolled and reguated polluting offshore manufacturing facilities... :P

I wonder how well the 'green people" would feel if they new how many spotted gecko owls were displaced/killed by the new batery factory that was built in outter Mongolia to produce their "hybrid" car...? :P ehehe

concidering how dirty every battery is; and that they can only be used for xx amount of reuses and time... that alone will up the "total earth cost" of the car. many "regular" car disposal costs are minimum; and many of the fluids are recycled.

the only way i would even concider buying a hybrid anything was an awsome (great style+great design+weak powerplant)concept out of Giugiaro in the Volta concept... only 400 hp... but im sure a way to retrofit a 7.0 liter v8 could be made

once the new wave of 'clean' power comes out, ever wonder how much energy it takes to separate oxygen and hydrogen? hmm... is that coming from another "clean" source, nuclear power perhaps? oh, fossil fuels. ok, i'll stick with pump gas, unless the hydrogen makes for a more tunable, and faster car :P

It also has the best performance of any Accord four-door, outrunning the V-6 automatic by 0.3 second to 60 mph and 1 mph in the quarter, to 93 mph in the end zone.

OK - so comparing a manual transmisison Accord to an auto Accord is no different to comparing Dumb and Dumbers scores on the SAT's - this just proves what a slug the V6 auto Accord is, not how "good" the manual hybrid is... does the electric motor even particpate in the acceleraiton of the car?

Why couldn't they base the looks on the honda hsc concept that looked amazing and would keep true to the mid engine rear drive of most supercars this one looks more like an agressive honda accord and they said 500 bhp and its main competitior the v8 vantage which only has 380 shoud'nt they be aiming for the DB9 still 3 years in that time this car would probably be as quick as their formula 1 conterparts with the amount of thing max mosley is doing to slow f1 down.

the thing about hybrids becoming true sports cars is that their batteries will weigh them down.. and we all know a proper sports car is light as can be..

but the power will be there for sure..

Now about this NSX.. I assume it will be targeted against Lexus' LF-A "supercar" so expect it to be even more expensive than the first NSX..
