I think it's fair to say that most of the people on here are car nuts... $hit, car nuts are second only to women when it comes to people I'd rather hang out with.

I'm in the City of Industry area and I'm walking distance to Malibu GP (but I'm a fan of dromo1). There's gotta be a bunch of us down here...

What do other people think of meeting up for some fun and good times?

You're in Costa Mesa? Kick ass. I go down your way sometimes when I'm looking to goto PCH for a night drive. Dromo's midway from us....

BTW, I've been exploring the canyon goodness around malibu (topanga, latigo, mulholland, etc) and around Glendora and I've been on Angel's Crest oh and I'm usually on turnbull canyon road. Any great roads that you've discovered? Marked for 15-25mi/h, not near residential areas, low traffic.... Lightly patrolled? :-)

Michael (likes the go-fast but doesn't like taking risks) L.

When and where?

It would be nice to get a decent sized group together and tear up the roads of SoCal.

Friday night I'll be in Santa Monica spending time with my motorcycle babe, I could meet up for eats, drinks and checking out people's rides..

OR!!!! We could meet up near PCH on sat and hit latigo-mullholland and stop @ that motocyclist hangout there (not sure of the name). I have no problems driving fast-ish @ night but I know that some people are not comfortable with the idea of fast-ish driving on twisty roads in the middle of the night.

I should mention that I'm NOT averse to the idea of waking up REALLY early if it means we have lots of open road and not a whole lot of cops (how many people go out for drives @ 6:30am) heh.

BTW, I also have some skillz with a BBQ grill if anyone lives near some twisty goodness...

Motorcycle babe huh? Maybe I know her. lol

Night time twisties don't bother me at all. Every now and then some friends and I do the Crest or Malibu canyon at night on our bikes. Lately it's been too cold to do so though.

I'm game for whatever the majority wants to do. Hopefully we can get some more people to chime in.

Abby, rides a chrome orange 03 Suzuki SV650S.. I have a silver 03 SV in addition to my Neon ACR coupe. But I'm a big chicken and won't be riding the bike till after I finish the MSV course.... bikes scare me...

Hopefully more people will join in... If not people are welcome to call or message me and work out some meeting place..

BTW, you're thinking of doing canyon roads on your motorcycle? Man, you're alot braver than I am! lol.

Look at my sig. Come on man, canyons and the track are where a sport bike is most at home. We do canyons all the time.

You lucky bastards. All I get in my immediate area are suburban intersection after suburban intersection with Nazi cops.

To get any twisties I have to head out maybe 2 hours and right now everything there is snowed in. Yuck.

Hey Sam P, last night, I went for a run along TurnBull Canyon Road. Hoosier A3S03 tires, JRZ's, shock rebound, N2 press and tire press setup for the road. Absolutely delightful.... *sigh*

BTW, here's a link to some of the fun goodness down here.
http://www.mulhollandraceway.org/gallery.html Turnbull has some interesting camber changes, more than a few decreasing radius/increasing radius corners often with dust or loose gravel near or about the brake zones and/or turn in points. There's a bunch of spots where I've seen shiny new guardrail, automotive paint colored guardrail and seriously dented guardrail... Often with what looks like brake lockup or a spin going into the rail.. *ouch*

So it looks like we've got Altdeza, Minacious, and Bla around here....

Minacious

Sorry godspeed, I'm not all that familiar with that area.

Surely there are more folk in SoCal that want to hook up and go for a ride? Come on kids lets do this.

Minacious

Juan, I think you meant 3 weeks off from school, and that school would be the glory that is AI.

Where's Nova, we got to get him on this too.

What's everybody doing tomorrow? The weather looks satisfactory.

Hey Billy I'm going to have to snag your # again. I seem to have misplaced it. BTW, Yerba Buena was quite good, there were a couple places where the tail of the car got too unweighted for it's own good on bumps while braking and the girl I was with got motion sick towards the end but overall it was great!!!

Minacious and Billy, I don't suppose you're game to heading over to Turnbul canyon road sometime?

maybee one time we can meet up in ontario, and go to the races! My daily is slow though, and the car that will be fast will never get out of the shop, It needs a ton of money, If you did cruise up and meet up maybee a few buds of mine would cruise but actually everycar is down right now 1 new, and 6 old car including mine! :(

Hey.. if anyone gets around to it, one of you should do a video of the latigo canyon run. I miss it there. Nothing to speak of like that in the Colorado Springs area.

While you're at it, a vid of East Fork road north of Glendora would be awesome too.

I might be able to use my dads Vid Camera if need be.
