How come I have different ip?

config/ release and config/ /renew could do this? :shock: I cant dl form Rapidshare cause thos suckers dl all the time from my IP(actually its not mine), atleast it says that I have downloaded **MB and have to wait or i am curently dlding something :shock: and it shows different IP than mine! + on sites like showmyip or so its says I have that same ip :?

I'd like to know - I have the same problem, I'm dumb in these things and I already said good bye to rapidshare about 4 months ago :(

What time of connection are you on? Are you sharing internet via a router? or are you in a dorm or business type layout where there is a big network?

If you have your own personal line (DSL or Cable) directly to your house, you wont be able to change your IP unless you have a dynamic system with your internet provider.

Most likely, if you turn off your cable modem for a day or so, the company will give you a new IP.

I have no idea really :( As I know the company that own the house have bought a connection for full house and we all are connected to the main "box" Thats all I know :oops:

open up command prompt, (Start > Run, and then type in 'cmd') then hit ok

a black prompt box will come up, type in 'ipconfig' and copy and paste whatever info it spits out here. I should be able to let you know what your connectino is like with that info..
