Quite telling - not one Ferrari... but some rather bland cars made the list... go figure.

The AMV8 Vantage and the DB9 are the most beautiful cars in the world, no doubt about it, but the CLS in 2nd place  :? I think it shouldn't even be in the top 10.

The Veyron is nice, but I think it needs something more

But the ugliest car of that list is the Brera :x

call me anti-whatever...

either a DB9, a Vanquish, or a V8 Vantage should be on the list... not more then one.

Bugatti should be at the top this year... outlandish excess from the Piech family :-D i wonder what the break-even point will be...

TT.. should'nt be on the list this year... next year perhaps with the restyled car... what we see today is nothing new really.

BMW 5/6 series... BZZZZT! wrong
BMW M5/M6... choose one... (M5)

Lambo Gallardo... 06 hits the street with even more power... cool... but...
Lambo Gallardy-Spidy.... definately should be there; i LOVE it :P

Lotus Elise: very cool car... but... old already
Lotus Exige w/supercharger, oh yeah! Baby!

Mercedes CLS
Great lines... a merc that looks amazing... how'd that one make it to approval :P ? I approve (AMG-only)

ok, now that i've ripped the list a new one... what do i think is lacking?
S7 TT - .... fastest production car in america, and possibly the world?
Koenigsegg CCR- i could watch those doors go in and out all day long... if i owned one, i might have to, as it would be broken a lot.
06 WRX STi - new styling = AWSOME + efficiant!... mabey powertrain, or suspension is the next improvement
C6 Z06 - fastest new car you can buy per/$ by a MASSIVE margin. 7:43--- Nuf said!
Ford GT - nothing new, except Heritage colors... worthy of being no. 2 on the list for that alone ;)

This survey did not just consist of designers voting, but also readers of car design news website.

However it makes sense that Aston Martin places so high on the list, since they are such beautiful looking cars, but V8 vantage is higher on the list then DB9 :?

I agree with most things on the list, but the 5 series and lotus elise don't belong there.

It's about design, not how good a car is.

Audi TT?? Where the hell did they get that idea ??

where? well for starters it is the most influential car design of this century so far, even if it was designed in the last century ;)

Wow.. simply wow.. ;)

This qualifies for the most hilarious comment since the existance of this forum

It's about design, not how good a car is.
since when is a car that is good not been designed to be good? engineering IS designing.

This whole contest was about aesthetics. Design as in looks. That has nothing to do with how well the car is engineered.

Design usually associate with concepts
Engineering is the process to make such concepts into reality

*Damn Lotus* I guess I am gathering my thoughts for too long :D

The Veyron really deserves to be in the top ten list, for a "form follows function" car like this one the actual look is a very good compramise. But, without doubt, the AMV8 and DB9 really seem to be the best looking cars today.

Anyone agrees?

Unless I miss the irony I disagree. The Veyron is a textbook example where form doesn't follow function. It took them 2 years to fix the aerodynamical inefficiencies of the design.

Disagreed. Koenigsegg shouldn't be there, neither doesn the Bentley GT and the F430 for that matter. Most you mention look nice, but definately not epic.

I see why the CLS is there, or the DB9 (best execution of the AM signature). There's not much spectacular presented style-wise these days. The Alfa 8C Competizione MUST go into production damnit
