Yeah the audio really is good aint it, nothing comes close with the 360's sound abilitys. You watched a replay on the nurburgring yet? theres one camra shot where the camra zooms far away from the car, and the sound is really awesome, its kinda resonating off the hills, its a really good effect.

The Ruf CTR and Viper are really nice.

Pity there are not many non-super cars... but the 288GTO, F50GT, MC12 etc etc make for some fun times.

The city tracks are ok - I guess I will need to finish the game to unlock all the cars though.

yeah its a pity some lesser powered cars aint in there. Just so you know, theres a update through xbox live exspected soon. New cars, new tracks, and new gameplay modes. Dunno of the cars update sticks to the theme of the game (meaning they have to be over 170mph top speed) but either way, once you get all the cars, get ready for more :)

We have played the demo a number of times.. its rather one dimensional, and I think will be no different even with online play.

For one thing, you suffer no damage so you tend to drive arcade style.

The vast open free roam environment is fun, but there is only so much staying power for a game that involves driving up and down Hawaiis roads in an indestructable Gallardo...

Now if games like GT4 or Forza2 etc incorporated a free roma world, where you could get into street races on the way to your hotlap session at Tsukaba -- or let you pull inot the pits and the Nurburgring and then take sin up the parallel autobahn outside the track that would be a whole other ball game... ;)

I don't have the 360 so wasn't able to try out the demo,

but it is a big disappointment that it's primarily an arcade game without any damage effect in performance.

but I do think it would be worth trying the online play, since it will add another dimension to the game and I really like the vast collection and details in cars.

THe really cool thing about this game is that if you want to purchase a car you don't just buy it in a menu like in any toher game, you actually drive to the dealer which is based on one that exists in real life.

The list of cars... >120. Atari have seriously put in a shitload of cash for the licences. And over 1500 km's of rods Even though I pressume it will be more arcade than simulator, I can't wait for the PC version.

Why is it that decent driving games really don't seem to come to PC (where they would look best!), Gran Turismo, PGR, etc.

^^Financial issues are the barrier, Sony for example probably pay Konami to keep the Gran Turismo series PS and PSP exclusive.

Well - I picked up the XBox360 version this evenig - we're gonna see just how much fun it is.

It's launch price of "only" $40 may scare some people off.. ;) because usually a "discounted" game must suck :P

Did anybody else get the chance to play the public beta demo for the PC ? It was released a few weeks ago and then expired on the 4th. All I can say is the game looks stunning on the PC, there are very few bugs and I;m certain when it comes out in March we will get a quality product.

Erez, make sure you back up your saves everytime you finish playing, the game has a major bug and can screw up all your stats when playing offline.

i have played the beta version of the game with a steering wheel .. ... and...... it sucks with the steering wheel.. just doesnt feel like the car is at all respoding. :(
