Happens to me too. I think maybe the snowflakes have something to do with it.

Fish? Jab? T? What's the cause? Can I (or you) solve this?

I think it has something to do with Jabba controlling the weather

Yes.. it's because of the snowflakes... you can try to use Opera instead of Explorer or Navigator, or try to disable Java on your browser :)
Or just wait a couple of weeks for them to disappear ;)

snowflakes got turned off?. now only 35% usage . 35% is still way more than most other sites though. when i close jabbasworld, with other sites still open, cpu usage drops to 3%

Ok, I'm clueless about that... I doubt there is still some Java effect even if you disable it...

Because we like to leach resources from our members the way they leach videos from us

Serious question here. What happens to IE if I switch Java off? Does it affect other things when I surf the web?

More power? Why not? It's not the greatest one around, but I assume a 1 gig processor should be able to cope with a few snowflakes... :?

Seriously, Java is turned off on my pc. Doesn't help. I'll try Opera for a change. See how I like it.

TT: 100% + 50% = 150%. I don't know how you're planning to do that but it would imply that my processor will handle 1.5 gig! Excellent! Hit me! :D

high CPU load is surely cuased by snow... as it falls down on the CPU and melts, thus creating short circuit :).

otherwise turn of the JavaScript (turning of the Java doesn't help the thing becuase it's something completely different).

Anyways turning it off would be great :) as it is a real pain in the a$$ for my PIII 500Mhz. It even somehow ruins the HTML interpreter and I can't open new pages.

lol, mine hit 100% with the snow, averages 70% then 40% when snow goes away.

Don't notice anything though.

Alright. We all know its the snow. We also know its a java applet. We also know its not going away until at the earliest Dec 26th. Its been like this for two weeks now and its gonna be like this for one more.

No more need to beat this dead horse.
