Yeah, nothing like cash tips (i.e. no tax), but like you said, it's really not a real job and u get sick of it easy in a restaurant. All the best mate :)

I hope you're a good trouble shooter.. cause that what IT support is all about..

the best advice I can tell you is if you have any problems with anything, break down the problem, find out what is being affected.

It really comes down to experience ;)

Cheers, I'm working my 2nd IT job in a Corporate environment.. getting paid very nicely for my age.

Allways find something or someone to blame the problems on ;) Wife, kids, porn, microsoft, norton, ...

You just need a lot of patience, there are a lot of dumb people out there. Some don't even realise that the little doors on the front on a computer case, that they hide the dvd-drive and floppy.

And whatever you do, never ever give out your private number/emailadres to someone [unless she's hot]. Allways give those from the job, so that they don't expect you to check it in the weekends and so.

He's right. The guy who used to work on my car is a printer tech. I went with him to a call once and you really have to be patient with people. Customer relations is half the job.
