DONT!
Thanks to you the community was down for at least a half an hour. All of your downloads are probably corrupt or incomplete aswell so you didnt gain anything from your impatence.

So that's what it was! I was wondering why the site was down. Good to see it has been solved and I hope no one will try that ever again.
I hope ppl able to download videos will read this and understand hammering the site doesn't help that much...

Yeah, I noticed the site was down as well. And now the videos are gone, too. It says "File no longer exists".
Yes.. the only way to prevent another downtime

is there any way to find out who it was?
Sure there is, but I can also undestand that he didn't realise he could kill the site...

I'd like to apologize, I dno't think I've downloaded 5 at once, but I know I've done more than one at a time. In the future, I'll wait for one to finish before starting the next.

Did the guy that was attempting to download 5 at a time have like mega mega bandwidth? Cos i would think that 5 downloads isn't that much actually... of course if everyone did 5 downloads at the same time that would be crazzzzzzyy.. but if just one person did 5 while the others were or were not downloading...
Anyways, i guess it becomes more technical from here on, and like FF said.. maybe there's just more that we don't know about...

to all the doubtful :D, it is quite likely that, if a person has a very good connection to a site and can easily achieve high speed transfers of, lets say a couple of MB/s, can with (a little) help of other random dowloaders easily overload the server for a short time. Especialy if (I don't know that) jabbasworld doesn't have a didacted hosting.

What I'm not sure of is that the guy got the files corrupted, isn't it the protocols business to make sure, that doesn't happen?
Arnt you the computer geek of the day. If you all honestly knew what jabba was doing to provide you this site im sure each and every one of you would give your great thanks.
BTW have you noticed no ads on this site? no popups? No popunders? No spam from companies buying e-mail address? Its because everything that your experencing is done at absolutly no cost to you. And trust me jabba is NOT using one of those $10/month webhosts.

You must have got me wrong. I am greatful. And I say: "Thank you" to all who's investing their money or work, so that some thankless dudes are able to freeily download car vids, which they wouldn't have other chance to see. I aint that good at English and what I've written is no way meant anyhow sarcastic.

As I said, you missunderstood me, I don't know, what I've written wrong in my previous post, that made you angry. I'm sorry. The point of my post was supposed to be like this: yes, you can overload the site if you're downloading a file too quickly (or too many at a lower speed, but combined at a high transfer rate). I wrote this because some of the users could not belive, that this is possible.
I hope this won't upset you as my previous post, but I can't help myself :). I wouldn't mind ad, popups and staff. They are easy to avoid :).
edit: However I do would mind you selling my email address... I didn't use the usual send_me_your_reg_confirm_mail_and_other_spamm_here @email, but the one I actualy use in rl, but so far I got nothing to worry about, it looks like it's in a good hands :) :) 8)

edit:
I've edited my post and cut out the problematic part :). I didn't know it was meant to be a scary warning to others. It just appeared weired to me, so asked...

I don't know what kind of server the video vault runs on (since I don't have access to it ), but you should be able to set a session limit so no single user can do more than 1 or 2 simultaneous transfers...

Apologies. I downloaded a few at once a few days ago. Didn't realize there were bandwidth issues. Maybe a note on the download pages would be a good move as I'm sure you get a lot of folks who just come in to grab some videos.

I have never download more than 2 videos at once, But thats fuck up it crash the server. I wish there was a better way we could put restrictions on people for the downloads. I am not saying u doing a bad job Jabba, I know u trying your best to do that. but thanks to those poeple who download more than one video at the time, the video vault has been taken away from the community  .
hopefully we cant get it back later on :D
P.S Jabba thanks for keeping this site free. I wish there was away were every1 could contribute if they wanted to. Like having a option to donate money to expand the site more.
