"The driver of this corvette gets a little too confidant on a small winding road and ends up paying the price."

Confident my ass, just retarded!

There should really be a manditory class that teaches you about shifting the weight of the car..

Dumb ass driver, that tree could just aswell well be a car with a family inside. Now I dont mean to get on RC's bad side. But on them kinda roads (touge to us BMI folk) Tsuchiya does say its a dangerous car, saying it just lets lose without warning or summat. Mybe this is a result of that? I dunno just summat to think about.

A clear case of someone not knowing how to control their car. There was no reason he should have lost it in that sad excuse for a turn.

the look of how he lost it leads me to think that the road had some dirt on it; i didn't look like he was hard on the throttle; but could've had an abrupt steering input, which would've caused it.

the brakes didn't come on til he realized he couldn't save it...

the bounce remeinds me of the Big Labowski ;)

Hmmmm...I'd just chalk this one up to inexperience. Getting a little overzealous maybe...but he really wasn't going all that fast and just gave it too much gas with the wheel still turned comming out of the corner. I agree that he should have been a little more careful on that narrow road.

I think the real problem here is that the guy is showing off for a camera...if he didn't have that impetus, he probably wouldn't have tried such an aggressive angle for that corner. Ah...peer pressure what would we do without thee?

Well - my name came up so I'll answer... the C5 Z06 is not unpredictable in any way shape or form - if you know what to look, feel and listen for in communication from the car... not unlike a Ferrari, Porsche, WRX, Evo, Audi, DKW, Saleen, VW Beetle, Mini Cooper or Volvo delivery van.

Dirt, leaves or even simple off throttle oversteer will do that to you every time.

Combine the slow speed and once the car stops sliding/skidding/drfting/whatever, the excellent GY F1 SC tyres simply hooked up and into the tree he went.

Much like a motorcycle high side, only with a car instead of the flicking the rider off when the tyres regain traction, the car continues forward, and if you didn't feel/see it coming you are not going to save it on the way out either ;)

Remember, the C6 Z06 that has so soundly kicked everyones arse did not evolve in a vacuum, it is a natural development on from the C5 Z06 and as such people need to realize the C5 Z is a very capable and competant platform.

The car didn't hit the tree, the driver did :P

Have you seen how many VW Golfs and Jettas are sitting trashed in the junk yards? ;)

And these goobers trashed their cars in 35mph traffic - in otherwords they cant even handle slow straight freeways - let alone a turn at any speed :P
