Tested this IS250 business a week ago and here are the pictures.
It's a nice car to look at and to drive but the interior is too cramped compared to the german opposition.
The full article will be online by thursday.

The last generation IS was one hell of a car, and the new one looks o-so-promising! I must go test drive one someday. I can't wait for the full article!

Very nice shoot again! I adore the picture with the trees! The new IS kinda does it for me although maybe the "250" engine could be barely enough ;)

V. nice picture :good:
Its nice to see soem detailed shots of the IS.
The car looks nicer than the new 3 series, but the line that runs up the side of the car (the shoulder line?) is a little too high at the back and makes the rear window a little too small :bah:

Certainly, the interior should be pretty cool, if understated

BTW - What sort of camera are you using? Your pics are just stunning!

It's a very good car but I think the previous model looked way better than this.

I rather prefer the new 3 series than this

Thanks for all positive reactions (photography wise)
My article on the IS is online by now. You can find it on my website in the articles section  --> www.dnpproductions.be

Nothing else special to report; driven some new cars: Grande Punto, Tucson, Santa Fe but no photoshoots so far.

just a quick question...

how good the tranny is, are the paddles worthy? :)

This picture was taken moments before the security guard arrived and told me to leave the site. Seems like Bayer doesn't want his buildings photographed. :P

The transmission is very smooth but for sporty driving you need to use the paddles cause the box refuses to shift back.

The problem is that most of the time you drive it in D but when you approach a corner and want to shift back you have to move the stick to S before you can opperate the paddles.
So for the relaxed drive with the occasional downshift it's faster to use the stick (only one operation).
When you really want to push it you can stick it in S and use the paddles. Downshifts are quick but on upshifts at medium revs there is a little reaction time. It's no major problem cause when you're in manual you will want to push till you see the orange led rings indication maximum revs.

Haha, funny. Glad you got that awesome shot. Looks like something out of a magazine.

What kind of equipment are you using?

The amateurs number 1 choice: Nikon D70 + 18-70 kit lens.

Are there any members with a D70 that use a 50mm or 18-200VR?
They are both on my wish list ...

I ordered the latter, but I'm still waiting...

Haha, very cool. I just picked up the D50 w/ the 18-55mm kit lens. I was kind of thinking about upgrading to the 18-70mm, to get a bit more range.

Heard nothing but good stuff about the 18 - 200mm VR though!
