2000-200? Opel Vectra Caravan - tonnes of space, good quality, you still can find with not too many km's. Or a bit older II Omega.
I cannot really imagine having a car without big boot, once you try it you will never want sedan. Most of the times its empty but when you need it you'll pat yourself on the shoulder what a wise decision it was to by a caravan :)

Find yoursel a good service were they can fix thing not just change one part for another even if its a minor problem and you will be happy.

We still have '99 Vectra - 200.000 km now still running ok with regualr inspections ofcourse.

Civic.

I sold my 1996 VTi for about 6000 Euro three years ago. It had 45,000 miles and full Honda history. You should be able to find a 1999 or 2000 model for about that kind of money

If you need more space, there is also the 5-door 1.8VTi and the Aeodeck (wagon) 1.8 VTi.

135mph or 35 mpg. Not at the same time though

Of course, they really look teh sex in burgundy

Sorry about pic quality - shots taken with a 1960's manual SLR which I didn't know how to use, and then scanned. Hehe

I'd like to go with the 156 is it was me. Especially since they say that is one of the more reliable Alfa's, but I have no expirience, so it could be a gamble.

one guy ,who is real alfa fan ,and know alot about cars, told me, best is
2,4 JTD or 2,0 JTS, but sadly they cost more

miles per gallon is useless for us  we have liters and km's  I think civic would take ~7-9l/km

per 100km ;)

fair comment, Arman. I kind of guessed he would be looking for litre/100km not MPG, but it's an easy calculation to convert imperial to metric.

Anyway, it all depends how you drive the car, you should be able to get 45mpg (6 litre / 100km) on the motorway, but maybe you could burn 12-14 l/100km on a racetrack VTECing every gear...
