I just noticed that JW is ranked higher in terms of registered members than both Ferrari Chat and Piston Heads by Big Boards.

These are two of the most respected "car forums" on the net I am sure most will agree...but we still got a long way to go to get anywhere near the top slots.

As for the girls at Final Gay well I am pleased to see that they are not even recognised as a serious site and therefore not even listed..LOL....

I think the reason that F-chat get so many posts is that a good chunk of discussion is in the "off-topic" section. For example, there are as many off topic threads as there are in the four model specific sub-forums combined. The bikini thread alone has 7000+ posts :shock: :lol:

I think JW has a greater percentage of on-topic conversations like Rennlist. Also, since the number of "where are the videos?" kinda posts have dropped out of the radar, our post quality has really improved.

Net-net, JW has quantity as well quality ... even with TT and Dani's spamming considered.

JW is live linked to BB so it is the live figure of registered users as it is right now...if you check out our profile they even provide the most active threads of the day as well as some other interesting stats.

considering JW's age vs Ferrarichat, i would say we pwn all 8) IMO we are a completely different variety of forum. Our content is 95% on topic, we're probably the nicest group of people on the web and even though we're mainly a car forum, it's not just cars we talk about. we've got sports, movies/tv/music, fitness, and life in general.

I would really say that JW should be at the top of that list, hands down, just because of those facts.

Jabba, TT, Dan, Fishfreek and our moderators have helped elevate this community to a level that final gay, ferrarichat and e46fanatics will NEVER achieve. On top of that, i don't know where we find our members, but we have somehow gathered the best group of them :good:

way back then... i think the reason JW stuck to me (and i to JW) was the different kind of place this was... after finding many forums full of ricer idiots; or condesending snobs... or just general snail-slow pace of responses... this was quite a refreshing place to be... it felt like home in the online sense of the word... that no matter where i am; i can always find JW.

Our member base is extremely diverse as compared to many other forums. The paintball forum i'm on is mostly US residents with a few from Canada and maybe one or 2 from the UK. Other forums i've been to tend to be populated or at least frequented by mainly americans.

I haven't been on alot of forums really so i don't have much of a comparison to use, but i have a very good feeling that this diversity is not seen in many other places.

Absolutely, and as you put in your earlier post, i agree that JW doesnt really rank amoung any of those other sites because you just cant compare them! The diversity of subject matter, members, culture and social backgrounds, as well as massive enthusiasm for all things automotive and female shaped makes JW something increasingly special :D Long may it continue, thankyou to all those who put all the effort into making JW what it is today! 8)
