The 2006 season is almost upon us.

In the spirit of things, I thought I would start a thread providing links to help someone new to F1 or those with a passing interest learn the ins and outs of it.

Hopefully this would mean more participation in the race discussion on JW during the season.

I am certainly a Ferrari fan but Ferrari is #3 in my heirarchy:

#1 Drivers - Schumi, big gap, Raikonnen, Alonso, Montoya from the current generation
#2 Racing - I want to see a competitive season - 2003 and 2005 were my faves in rescent years for this reason. Dont want another 2002 or 2004 ... blech
#3 Ferrari - love the brand, the mystique, the history
#4 The rest

Renaul F1 Teams website
It doesn't seem to be updated right now with the new season data, but last season they had Real Time telemitry.. speed, G-forces, lap times, etc... It's really cool.

Speed TV is on regular broadcast - not on HDTV - I have watched it on my new plasma which upconverts the signal to a psuedo 720P or 1080i signal - the telecast is slightly better than on normal TV but isnt comparable to regular HDTV programs for sure.

i wonder, is Sky satalite sold in the US at all? their coverage of motorsport is unquestionably the best i've heard of... including the channel that listens to all the pit chatter... im sure most of what they have for F1 is available in HD... and since its satalite, it should be able to be tuned in here
