Last year on a cold July morning, TT, dodo and me visited the GP Strecke of the Nürburgring to attend a Ferrari meeting, named the Modena Days. We knew we were going to see some rare Italians, and our expectations were fulfilled.

The pics you see are taking on the event itself, in the paddock and in the parking lot of the hotel next to the track.

All high-res images can be found by following this (http://users.skynet.be/fa344132/fotokes/ringFer2005/ModenaDays2005.htm) link.

Oh, btw, you can do a nice little game with these pics. It's like the Find Waldo games, but change Waldo into TT and you'll have the clue :D

The local Enzo Club was present with 2 black babies and 5 red ones.

But I still prefer the F40. And to make thinks a bit more special this is a Michelotto.

Some unusual Ferraris were present as well, I saw two 348's with some f355 body panels. This is one of them:

I'm still very fond of the 328's lines. And I like it even more in this special colour.

A widebody 512BB. And yes it's very wide :)

275 GTB Shortnose in - I guess - Rosso Rubino. Great looking!

250 GTO. Doesn't need any explanation...

A Drogo rebodied 250 GTE (thanks Stradale and TT for helping me out finding the name!). It looks stunning IMO!

Ultra-rare: an Alfa Romea Tipo 33 Stradale:

I had to do some really acrobatic tricks to take this pic

A nice Vanquish in the paddock:

Full black 996 GT2, looking mean towards all the Ferraris :D

I thought there were some other Modena Days during the year when I saw this topic :D

**Enzo overload**

There's too much to say about the Ferraris so I'll focus on the other sights
My favourite ones are the Vanquish S and the full black mk1 GT2  ... and the yellow LM002 is sure a rare sight even at those events
The 33 stradale is mindblowing ... but I prefer the 33-2 Daytona :P

Great pictures, saved a lot of them !

I forgot that we hadn't seen your pics from this event, what a nice suprise!! :D

The lineup of Enzo's is amazing, I'd be happy just to see one at the moment.... :( The overhead group shot is amazing, definately a POTM entry I'd say. ;) So where is the high-res version, it isn't in that link you posted.

I can't go without mentioning the GT2.    I have a thing for this car (probably something to do with its acceleration) and it just looks extra menacing in this colour combo!

Thanks Wutputt, great post. :D

OMFG!!!! What a great report !!  Those pictures are stunning!!

That 512BB is really wide  Those rear tires are huge. It won't be easy to drift with those tires :P

I didn't knew that F40 Michelotto but it looks damn nice 8)

The Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale is a damn beatifull car, too bad it's so rare

The Maserati Khamsin is really sexy, specially the front. It looks like a Camaro :D

Finally the GT2 full black looks damn aggressive

Excellent pictures man, thanks! Did you happen to notice that one of the black Enzos was particularly vocal? I think it has an aftermarket exhaust system...perhaps Tubi?

Wutputt, man great set of pics!

That green 328 looks soo good in green and with those gold rims, I never would have thought that combo would go well with a ferrari. Really cool 8)

The black Enzo is yummy.

And the black F430! Oh boy, how agressive does that car look!

And I loved all the old timer pics.

And the lower I went in your gallery, the happier I was!! The Masers really surprised me!!

Thx a bunch for the pics!!!

Who will all be at Ferrari Racing Days this September? Last time in '03 there were 10 Enzo's on hand, 5 F50's, 11 F40's, 1 MC12 and various Ferrari F1 cars to include Schumi himself.

By the way the pic with the 2 Enzo's are sitting in front of the Enzo members only "Enzo Club Tent"

Wow! great report Wutputt!

This is a endless list of beautiful Ferrari^pictures
Saved lots of them

IMO the 360CS is the one I like most
The bunch of Enzos was a surprise back in 2005 when TT and dodo posted their pics
the 512BB widebody looks great!
The Murci hiding in the garage behind the Ferraris is funny

Thanks Wutputt for your pics !

Is there another Modena Day this year ??

found the FerrariRacing Days on the Ring 1st-3rd September 06

I found the a report about last years event, in Ferrari Issue 148, they speak about 8 Enzos and the Enzo "Muletto" ?

There is no picture of this one on Wutputt's link but the muletto was actually there, dunno if he somehow missed it but it's it's the one that looks like a 348

Concerning this year's Modena Days it's hard to find any information, I'm pretty sure they'll be known a week before it takes place or so :?

stmoritzer

^thanks for the info Darkel

~1 week only .... we need a better source to know when and where it take place

TT

Well for the Muletto I was a bit lucky.. it was in a closed pit, guarded by a guy.. I just asked him in my pityfull German "kann ich das Enzo prototype .... photo machen? :roll" "
And he said something like "yes, do not touch, just a couple of pics".. David and Wouter were in the back parking, they saw me through the windows but I didn't dare to try and open the door to let them in LOL (and I suppose it was closed anyway).

As for the missing Enzos, the first day there were indeed 8 and only 5 left the second day when we were there, but David was there both days actually.

And indeed, I'd like to know a bit in advance this time because last year I had to plan this quite in a rush

Yes the Ferrari Racing Days is every 2 years and in September. Not sure what the Modena Days had in store but the Racing Days included 360 Challenge racing, F1 cars from all generations racing, Schumi driving the F2004 MC12 and 550 and i think around 1000 F-cars for show. Maybe a JW meet this September at the Ring? It cost like 45 Euro a ticket though.
