another WMP issue

i got a song from one of my friends and it's an mp3 but i keep getting this error when playing it through WMP: Error ID = 0xC00D1199, Condition ID = 0x00000000

the explanation is pretty vague and of no help. My friend isn't computer literate enough to encode anything so i don't know what the hel the problem is. It plays with Musicmatch Jukebox, so i know it's a good file. any ideas?

Googling the error and condition codes comes up with alot of tail chasing techno babble for videos :roll:

I don't have winamp. I just said fuck it and used Musicmatch to build the playlist i wanted it for. I did get a program that anlyzes the file and tells you what codec batch you need for it, but it couldn't find anything for that particular file.

whoops, i didnt realize you said it played in music match.. weird, you may need to reinstall WMP. But I say fuck it and use something else to play mp3s... Winamp is my first choice..
