I'll keep this up for future reference, although hopefully by the time I can afford a Porsche the 997 will be available at these prices. :D

I'm not keen on the 3.4L variant of the 996, I would definately wait and get the 3.6L. Thanks again for the effort TT.

I wish I could say that I really need to see this article, but sadly my finances are not yet that healthy. :D
