Has anyone heard of Autosurf, HYIP etc?
I'm not going to name any specific company but there are many. Just Google Autosurf and HYIP. What it basically does is you invest (as they call it) money and several days later your money is doubled, tripled, quadripled and so on. There are others that you don't need to put money upfront like doing online reading and surveys.
Several ppl say that they don't need to work anymore becasue they're earning coupla hundred thousand a year from it.
Of course, you've got your scammers too.
Whats your view on this?
To me it sounds too easy and the numbers they state seem a bit farfetched. However, reading through forums and such, it does seem some of them are legitimate.

I know a friend that do online survey for living....but I believe u have to pay a "member's fee" to create an accout for surveys. But it is far from a couple hundred thousands a year. I believe she barely make enough to pay her bills. Time is money, filling out surveys requires time too, so it's a fair deal.
Of course, there are ppl like "milliondollarpage" that has fresh ideals to "make" money, but this will only benifits the very very first few ppl, after that, ppl lose interest and good luck getting anything off it. Still remember a period where ppl are talking about ads on forehead, but now it's all quiet.
Oh, most prositutes sit on their ass to make money lol
*EDIT* Seems like google ads find something for this thread already

i've done surveys before as well. i've also been through paid to surf and they did pay but nowhere near as much. but going through their numbers you can earn a lot of money with the major assumption that they will pay.

I've played the HYIP game quite a bit.
If you are interested in doing it keep up to date with your different programs with a good forum like moneymakersgroup.com or talkgold.com. I liked talkgold the best. HYIP's are a great way to lose money, but if you learn how to play the game you can do alright.
Personally I started out with a $1k went up to $1500 then down to $400. I was able to build it back up close to where I started by the time I pulled out. Now I'm just pulling an extra few dollars to cover my losses out of 12dailypro.com. I have a good friend who made close to $60k last year in 12dailypro, but currently all signs are pointing towards its demise any week now. Its really a dangerous and stupid way to attempt to make money. More people lose than win in ponzi schemes -which is what these are no matter what they try to tell you. But hey if your interested throw a few bucks in and see what happens.
If you really want to make money, start a business or get a job. As amazing as it seems there is much truth in the statement "there is no easy money"

Agree with that for 100%. I would suggest first option - start a small business

Real investing would be a better alternative.. This sounds like a pyramid scheme.. Someones always left holding the bag.

Banchi, so when you made profits did you get anywhere near the numbers they advertise?
I'm with you graywolf, one of my hobbies is the share market. it feels quite rewarding when i earn money. i usually do most of the study myself and some help from news and expert columns. plus i get to control where my money goes and if i lose i have no one to blame.

I entered a sharemarket competition where one has to invest $50000 on ASX100 stocks and try to make the most money. I didn't even make $3000.
Filling out online surveys doesn't pay much, I've heard, but probably more regular work than I've been getting.

Banchi, so when you made profits did you get anywhere near the numbers they advertise?
Lets say you put a hundred dollars into a program such as the now deceased white-funds.com. You selected the 200% over 48 hours program. In 2 days you now have $200. So you select withdrawal and you wait for them to pay you. In my case the site collapsed during this stage. The reason these sites collapse is they no longer have money to pay out to the persons requesting their money. On the other hand I got out of a site called profitsyoudeserve.com, before their first collapse and turned $50 into $475 in 8 days or so. Sounds incredible and too good to be true- doesn't it?
These programs used to last an average of 20-30 days before collapsing (the so called 'legitimate' ones anyways). Now, however, most of the HYIP's are dying around the 5-6 day mark. Many blame this on the Admin's taking a chunk of the money and running. Or it could very well be that people are smart enough to try to pull their money out early. The way you play the game is by keeping a close eye on the amount of total withdrawals versus the amount of investments. Proper management of this ratio can give you the best times to invest and pull out.
The difference between losing money in an HYIP (other than the fact it is an outright ponzi scheme) and the stock market for example, is that when the market goes down you sell and get out with a percentage of your investment (say 75% with a 25% loss). In the wonderful world of HYIP's when the site goes down before you have been paid- you lose your total investment.
Now keep in mind I am reffering to HYIP's and not autosurfs. Autosurfs such as 12DailyPro.com and Alien-Trust.com are much more stable than HYIP's. 12DailyPro has been around for ~9 months or so now. Perhaps this is due to their much lower payout rates (144% over 12 days) and the fact they that force you to earn some of your income (by auto-surfing a few webpages). But keep in mind even these are heavily based on a pyramid type scheme for their continued existence as well. These will certainly fail sometime- you just have to be out before then. But most people won't, because in order for these programs to work - many more people have to lose than win.
I found the whole HYIP / Autosurf game rather interesting to play and watch. However, it is not in any sense real investing. Now I don't even waste time with these things. That is time I can be learning valuable lessons with real investments.

Hey, even if you put the money in the bank, you're still making money while sitting on ur ass, just matter of how much
But like graywolf said, investing is probably the best alternative. Over the long run, you almost always make money... unless you're in Japan  It certainly pays for gas/petrol

I probably make more money on my bank account interest than my so-called 'job'.
