damn, here in australia we only get up to about 6kbps on a56k connection. :x

I average about 200KB/sec with most downloading. Sometimes it's a bit slower.

I used to use 56k, since going with cable, there is no way in hell I'd go back to it.

How do you know that you get 7kb/s? I suppose you dloaded some vid or something from a link posted inside JW right? Judging by your small amount of posts, I suppose those were external links, not videos from the vault. So then you would be judging speed on another webage not jabbasworld. The fastest I have ever received something was 2.1 MB per seconds.

obviously the speed at which you downloads greatly depends on how fast the server is you're accessing no matter how fast YOUR connection is...

from the quality servers that jabbasworld.net runs off i get 400-900KB/s :)


i'm sure gonna miss my schools 10Mbit resnet over the summer..

On a good day, about 50 to 60 Kb/s, on an avrg day, 24 to 27 kb/s, on a bad day, as low as 0.1 kb/s (RF is terrible).

I will be back on 56k modem until July 28th when they ADSL enable the exchange thats area I have just moved into. :cry:
