What's your illegal hoard worth? What's the street value of all your pirated MP3s and movies? How much would the RI/MPAA demand - minimum - if they sued you? Find out!

Piracy isn't theft. It's piracy.

You make bautiful chairs and tables, I come into your store and take 5 chairs and walk away and justify that its from wood and wood is free in the forest. Is it right? I dont think so.

i dont know how it is over there... but you can only cut down a tree in the forest if it is your forest, and hippies dont find out an endagered kurblunka lives in your tree.
it is illegal to cut down trees in in publicly owned land, and un-aproved private land... so even wood isnt free

Interesting... but I question the accuracy of assuming the cost adds up to the total cost of the product as opportunity cost is missing/ as is the price of the pamphlet and case.. lol
Number of complete TV seasons =
Number of isolated TV episodes =
These 2 are bullshit.
It has long ago been settled that home recordings of TV shows is fair use.
Case closed.
Unless people think the only way you can get a recording of friends is from a Box set

and pay for the channel
ie a nbc
Pay? For a network Channel? I dunno about the great white north but here they are 100 percent supported by advertising.. Not that they'd be worth paying for even if they did cost cash.

No, more like you walk into a store and take pictures (rip) of the 5 chairs. You head home (download) and build (write) the 5 chairs yourself with glue (net connection) and wood (HD space) you purchased from another store (ISP).
When you download, you're "copying" the file instead of "moving" it. So there's a difference. What I'm trying to say is, you're "stealing" the design instead of "stealing" the actual file.
IMO, it's more like buying a "knock off" chair than taking the actual chair. Someone stole the design and made a knock off and let you buy it at a low price.

i have a back up to rogers, since it frequently crashes, and 02 is NBC, 04 is ABC, 29 Fox, 23 WB, and there are some others, but basically all the Buffalo and Rochester affiliates...the receptions is poor but they work
and then Omni 1 and 2 are 4, and 64, 15 toronto 1, 25 rds

In Spain there is a small fee in every single cd-r you buy... something about 0,25€. It's set to compensate the authors and artists for their lost :? paying this, then... means that I'm able to copy whatever I want, since I've already 'payed' to the artists, haven't I?? :hmm:
We have exactly the same thing here in Canada for cdr, cassette (who uses them nowadays?) and md. So I guess both of us can download for personal use legally?

You don't have to pay for most channels if you have a big dish(guess whos father still has one). So in reality I could argue I get 1000 channels free. They do now scramble the hbos and stuff. Didn't do that when I was a kid though.
So does that mean any tv show I can copy? *cutting the logic up a bit*

i wish the link worked because i'd love to see how much my illegal (aka "frowned upon") habit is.
there should be a program that determines how many producers would be pissed off at me for all the porn i've illegally aquired.
