hockey movies suck

every single one i've seen...
starting with the mighty ducks... 1/2/3.... they suck, and progressively get worse. i mean... WTF is a knuckle puck... oh, and the flying V... that would never work... then later in 3... i shouldn't even begin talking, cause i'll not end about how much that movie is crap.

a fun story, takes too long to get going, but once the hockey action gets goin... its not really hockey action... it sucks

cool story, back when Hockey was amature in the olympics...
it just didnt seem as good as watching the re-runs on espn classic... again... hollywood intervenes and makes hockey trash movie... aka: CRAP

that's because sports and movies dont go together.

usually a movie is interesting if its about something you'll never acheive or never want to do without dire consequences.

like sex with a stranger, killing aliens or playing a screwed up sport.

and to make it worse, movies about sports are almost always about the social aspect and never about the actual sport itself. the skill involved and dedication involved on a personal level.

why?

because directors dont play sports.

they dont understand.

Rocky, Million Dollar Baby, Coach Carter, Mr. Baseball, Mr. 3000, more then i care to think about...
basically, i think 9.5 in 10 of them are likely to suck :P

Have any of you guys seen the movie "Goal!" ?? Damn, it sucked. Through out the entire film I had the feeling the script was written by a 7 year old. It was lame and very predicatble. Yeah, sports movies do suck.
