I was at cinema and saw the teaser for The Cars from Disney. it's gorgeous and I have to have it :D . I like all these disney movies - finding nemo, ice age (ice age 2 is coming!!! :D ) etc....

Ehm!

Just a small correction :) I wouldn't say The Cars are from Disney, yes Disney will be the distributor, but the actual movie is completely (animation, screenplay, production, post-production, wiriting .. you name it) made by Pixar. They had an agreement to make 5 movies for Disney and The Cars is the last one.

Also the Ice Age (1 & 2) has nothing to do with Disney.

If you are actually looking for some Disney made computer animated or cars related movies you should definitely check out Chicken Little, Valiant and Herbie: Fully Loaded   .

Pixar is the best aniation compnay IMO. I watched all of their movies and I like them all. This one looks good also. Can't wait to see cars and Ice Age 2.

I probably won't be seeing this one in the theater, but....

It's made by Pixar! Thus, even if the story sucks, it will still be worth watching for its excellent computer generated animation. When it comes to these CG movies, Pixar is way above all the rest and can turn a dull movie into something that it worth watching due to the time, technology, and excellent graphics that Pixar creates.

Ice Age 2 should kick ass as well. Really enjoyed the 1st one.

Well - Disney owns Pixar - so - it's a Disney movie.. :P Right?

Or more correctly may soon be an APple movie.. ;) -- What with Steve Jobs being the majority individual Disney shareholder after the buyout - and who knows in what creative whays Mr Jobs could screw up not only ixar but Disney as well.. ;) :P

I'm not really sure about the quality of Apple products, but in no way did Jobs screw up Pixar ;), he owned the company for about 20 years and in that time its value increased from around $10mil to $7.6bil.

Its finally coming out

I saw an exclusive preview of this animation more then a year ago at the special Autoweek convention. it was presented by John Lasseter himself (he was the executive producer for Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc., and the The Incredibles to name a few)

...and couldn't wait to watch it since that day :P I'm glad they are finally releasing it.

The point is Disney had EVERYTHING to do with the movie.. as the distributor it is in effect "their" movie to do with as they please :)

Shrek made me laugh more, but I liked this movie. Just came out from seeing it. I wish the race would have been 24hour rolex or American Lemans instead of Nascar. That'd make the movie 100% better.

Look out for a white racecar #84

One of my favorite scene in the movie was when Sarge was putting those nervous SUVs through the dirt and the Hummer H1 with spinners complaining that he never went off pavement. Very cleaver social commentary. ;)

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/10004076-cars/about.phpI thought it was 3000 computers, each working on a frame which took 17 hours to make.

Because if the movie is 2 hours long, with 24 frames a second, do the math... 3000 computers would take years to finish the movie...

Finally, the movie is out in Zürich
and I had a great time watching it  :D

stunning quality of pics, sometime the landscape was very realistic (starting the trip to California or during the cruise with Sally - when they drove thru the waterline, amazing work  )

Sally showing the tattoo under the spoiler was gorgeous, the 996Carrera in general was very real 8) .
Diego and Luigi were hilarious :D

One of the best animated films I've seen in the past (obvious for car enthousiasts :D )
