I'm not into them. They seem too complicated. It was a really popular activity during free periods back at school last year.

My ex-girlfriend was pretty into those. I was convinced there was a methodical way to solve them, so I kinda raced her to finish one.
Basically I went through every single square and wrote down the possible numbers it could be, and then essentially went through a long process of elimination. Worked quite well, and I finished loooooong before her (actually she ended up giving up  ).
Haven't tried that on some of the super complex ones, but I imagine it would work. I don't really give a shit if it does work, though :P

baisically you have a bunch of 3x3 squares arranged into a larger 9x9 box with some numbers in a few of the squares. you have to use the numbers (1-9) not used to complete the puzzle so that each of the 3x3 boxes are filled with 1-9, and each full row up and down is completed 1-9. you cant use a number in the same row twice either.

i find them pretty easy. if using the software from pappocom, my average for medium is about 5-7 mins, on difficult its about double that. i'd like to prove that but the game is now locked unless i pay for it.
but i've always been better with numbers than words :P

I love it. I started doing some monthes ago, and it seems now that it is just too easy, whatever the difficulty is. I have also done some 25x25 ones. That's challenging :P

Newspapers publish them, so I guess you could go to a newspaper's site.
