How is that video supposed to make me not want to put it in a fire?

Has anyone figured out if this is actually real or not. I believe that the video is authentic, but if the contents of the bottle are really 100% plain old Dr. Pepper?

If the bottle was sealed, then the contents would boil up and the bottle explode.. looked like the label and container were on fire by the time the bottle exploded from the boiling liquid vapour pressure.

But as to whether the bottle actually bleve'd (boiling liquid expanding vapour explosion) would depend if the evaorating gases are flamable....

Which the bottle was really a Rum and Pepper mixer, then what you saw was the alcohol bleve.

So someone go test if a boiling pot of Dr pepper has flamable vapours... :P

And most of all - dont ask this guy to hold the bottle for you...

the plastic bottle would melt before anything inside started to boil..

the effects in that movie are dont pourly too.. a little less noticable because of the low quality

WOW that's awesome!!! cannot believe it!!

i've seen something else, with coca cola and aspirin... the man put an entire aspirin tube inside a 2L Coca bottle, and there si a 3 meters tall geyser of coca, during about 2 seconds!! amazing...

You sure? Water boils at 100C at STP - sealed up a bit higher, but I am almost certain plastic coke bottles don't melt at 100C ...

WHo's going to go try this? :P

You think it's all special effects?

hmmm... would you really boil water over an open flame in a plastic bottle?

common sense is all it takes..

sugar burns on fire and dp prpper and others are sugar itself  + i dont know how you et the bottle melted at what temperature cause its not melting if you even pour water into a polythene/plastic bag and put it under a fire the bag will not get melted just try it with lighter and plastic bag, maybe it get melted on 100C° not know really :?

BTW I have no mr.pepper left so go on and try it guys :P be sure you step far away from it and make a video :D
