Its the 360GTC
Check it out. There isnt much info on it at Ferrari.com. Most of you will see that it's the new 360GT racer based on the 360Stradale.

Note the sequential stick shift? That's for reliability since ferrari had many race problems with their F1 electro hydrolic gearbox. Now its a normal sequential box. The car looks lovely. It will kick ass in NGT class!!!!
I can just realize how powerfull it is, considering the stock stradale has 425BHP!!! The old GT360 had 430!!!!!! This car has 445!!!!! That would be NUTS!!!! The GT3 stands no chance!

Check out the spec sheat from Ferrari

Looks good. Curious how it will perform.

It's a strange way of approaching things though. Private teams started developing GT cars based on the 550 and 360 while Ferrari concentrated solely on F1. Now that the cars start to become a real succes, Ferrari suddenly steps in with the 575 GTC and this.

looks amazing, but dont ferrari have enuf 360 derivatives yet?

TT

Well, it's nice to keep creating a car, than a racing version, than a roadgoing version of the racing version of the road car, then another racing version of the roadgoing version of the racing version of the road car and so on :D

Well this isnt street legal. This is Ferraris race car. And this is only the second one. The first 360GT was not that succesful mainly due to the faulty gearbox. Now they have a car with a much better aero package, and more power. But yeah....there are a lot of different 360s now, but look at Porsche

Next thing you know Top Gear is making fun of Ferrari's 360 model range like they did with the 911.

Well the current 360GT is a good car, on par or slightly better performance wise then the GT3. The main reason for the car not being so succseful is that faulty gearbox, now with that out, and more power, Porsche has some catching up to do.

Plus I think the teams with this car will get more factory support, the old 360GT did not get much support from Ferrari.

Looks like a winner - strange that they chose the older stick semi auto rather than the flappy paddles...

The fappy paddles were the number one reason for the old 360GTs not so succesful racing carrer.

correct :|

aaaahhh wait, how could I not like it, and that extra power sure cant hurt  , although from the side the endplates of that rear wing look a bit strange compared to the curves of the body, but then I guess its function over form for such things

It looks amazing!

that new wing design is very interesting.
It somewhat resembles a F1 wing, or the bentley lemans car.

hope it will kick some porsche ass
the 360 GT was very very fast. the gearbox was indeed problematic, but now that's taken care of, and there's more power. can't wait to see it  .

Ferrari main objective was to win the F1 WDC and WCC.They wouldnt invest in any other league before achieving that. Now they have done it and are strong again they can afford to invest $$ in GT racing which is what they have done since 2001.

I hope that Ferrari can rival the new 911 RSR. so we can watch them battle it out on some of the worlds greatest race tracks. I have herd rumors that the GT style of racing is coming back, and prototypes are on the way out.

I have heard that,
1. Merc is going to race the SLR
2. lambo Murilago
3. Porsche CGT
4. Ferrari Enzo
5. Bugatti Veryon 16/4

This is going to be the top tier of racing in 05/06. The return of great sports car racing.

the stradale is a road car yes, it would stand no chance on a track.

personally i dont know what to think of this. It'll take some work to beat the tried and tested 911's with all their years of factory support, hell the Freisinger Porsche won one of the rounds this year outright.

Yeah the stradale is the road version of the racing version which is the 360GT I am assuming. This car looks pretty tight, I think I'd still rather have a GT3 though

Are you serious mate??? Is that why the 360GT won the FIA NGT class in 2001? And is that why this years fight lasted till the last race? The fight for the championship that is. This year JMB and Freisinger had an equal amount of wins so you know.

Oh this is the new 360GTC wich will race on the GT international. Awesome ferrari, with 450 horses and just 1000Kg. Really a race car. Very beauty, i guess it won´t be produced to us, i mean, to customers, unless someone pays a big money.

Whats wrong with these people. Yes it does look a little better than the stratsdale, but the design is basically the same. I think they should start thinking on a replacement instead of of an upgrade.

Its a race car man. IT IS NOT A ROAD CAR. LOL Everybody thinks its a new road car.

Its a race car, and there is nothing wrong with making an upgrade on an older race car. Ferrari 360 Started GT racing about 4 years ago. Trust me, this is nothing for a race car. So the Viper GTS should also be replaced? Its been racing for like 6 years now.

It's a riced out Ferrari...they just overdid it...look at that spolier. I definately prefer the Challenge Stradale.

every first ferrari that leaves the factory is yellow....just some sort of tradition, but the teams that get the car are painting them in their colors right away

Sorry, but I just have to say this.

Do you fucking read? This is a fucking race car, not a road car. Race fucking car, stated fifty fucking times already. Then wing is there for fucking downforce, ever seen a race car mate? They are all wingless right? Yes I thought so.

Sorry if it sounded harsh but shit, try to read.

And for those who say that there are to many 360s already wtf are you talking about?

This is only the second GT racer to come out of Ferrari.

Let's just say that if you owned it and were allowed to go cruising, you would get laid in like...15 minutes flat.

why would Ferrari make a challenge and the 360GTC? They're both racing versions of the same car. :?:

360Challenge is a normal 360modena with a role cage and a stripped out interior with slightly adjustable suspension.

360GTC is a race car.

I think those are just rumors, but there is definitely a new trend going in that direction.

1. Possibly, but I don't know if it would be in the same "super class"
2. Lambo already exists in FIA GT, might still be a little outclassed considering it is a competitor for the 575s.
3. Unlikely because they created the Carrera GT out of an abondoned Lemans style racer attempt, but perhaps if the competition gets tough.
4. Again not likely. The Maserati is already pretty much an Enzo and the race car is probably as close to an Enzo as an Enzo race car would be, however if it is very succesful(it looks like it will dominate), Ferrari might consider a Factory backed effort.
5. They better finish the damn car first.

Sorry to sound so pessimistic because I am truly looking forward to such an era of racing, but I think at least one of the major unlikelys(maserati "Enzo" might be enough) will need to enter racing for the other teams to find the competition worth it.

Yeah there are already many derivations of the 360, but it's such a nice car to build upon.
