What's the fastest record that a race car can do around the "Ring"? Nurburgring?

Race cars like F1, Porsche, Ferrari, NSX, M3.. etc...
Any record tables?

By "Ring" you probably mean the old Nurburgring, the Norschleife. In that case the fastest laptime is 6 minutes and 11.130 seconds set by Stefan Bellof in a Porsche 956 during the practice for the 1000 km race in may 1983. Because the length of the Nordschleife has varied a little over the course of time, it's best to look at the average speed and not the time.

On the short GP track I don't know which car has been the fastest. In the link below Schumacher's laptime of 1 minute and 14.960 seconds in 2001 is said to be the fastest. That could be dated now.

I know for sure the Corvette Z06 set a very respectable stock time. Its tied with the NSX-R in lap time.

Yeah the radical has a production car all time record at Nordshcleife.

It is refreshing to hear someone talk about a stock Vette. I have memories of stupid argument on racingflix. Some could not comprehend the word 'stock'. I do believe you are right saying that it put in a good time.

Has there ever been a time for a modified one? Like a LS1? That would be an interesting time.

I heard the new cadillac cts-v ran a 8:19 beating the M3 and M5's best times from what I've heard.

Yes there is alot of bickering on RF about vette vs NSX. The NSX is cool and all, but 90 grand for 300 horses just doesnt cut it. Sure you get honda reliabilty but paying that much for a V6 engine, no thank you. Chmon honda develop a light weight V-8, if BMW can build a Lightweight V-10, honda can do a v-8.

About the CTS-V, that would make since, GMs new cars are all bieng tested very heavily at the Ring, seems that their high perfomance cars run pretty good on the ring. The C6 is bieng extremely heavily tested at the ring. I would be suprised if a stock C6 runs the same time as a 2003 Z06.

M5 best time is something like 8.15(but i have heard that caddy is faster than m3)Fastest production car should be Radical.

the cts-v was timed on some fancy tyres, whilst the BMW were timed on some shitty run flats. ive heard that in a few places, i think it even says so on caddillac adverts in the small print.

the new C6 should be VERY fast, its about time America gave us another car that handles aswell as corners. (The new Ford GT being the first)

also, the radical turbo was timed on its first run, the first time the driver had been in it on the ring. they know the car can go faster.
