The one in the video is not the new car.. It's the AMS company car which got around 800HP or something.. The Black Evo a customer Evo which got a 2.4l Stroker kit from AMS and a Gigantic turbo GT42R.. that's the one which got 826HP at 42PSI and as I read their is more room for improvement maybe 850HP..

around 4700 does the turbo really spools up.......not bad considering the size of the turbo. The tranny must be desperately screaming for help :mrgreen:

That is quite impressive HP. I always thought Norris had higher HP ones, but I guess not?

The street vid was okay, but ruined by the camera-man, who didn't realize that wind overpowers a microphone :lol: The car sounded pretty decent once the camera was stationary, though.

I'm really curious how the clutch feels on this thing, and i assume this is hp at the crank, so how bad is the loss of power through the awd trans?

I'm assuming its actually power at the wheels, since they're using a 4WD Dynojet. I think they even mention it in the dyno video..

Like most Evo's (including my 6.5), they don't like to be babied around - just get your foot down and boost as much as you can ;)

AMS is still tweaking on it and want 900whp from it before the nitrous. Should be done pretty soon though I'm sure!

I can't wait to see the finished product. My friend who just got an Evo 8 in the states is thinking about having his car done with AMS.. I never really heard anything about AMS until I saw these videos..

They are pretty good.. I got an AMS kit fitting on my car.. Although they did not fit it.. They just send the turbo bolt on to the headers and all the nessasary stuff.. and let me tell you that the quality is way beyond excellent..

It's the same engine.. I got an Evo 7. and that is make for an Evo 8..
As long as it's the same engine it will work..By the way I don't have the GT42R on mine I got a much smaller turbo.. GT3076.

yeah we only have the 8 and 9 here in the states although they have a 1000hp evo 1 converted to RWD for drag racing.

How much power are you making with it? How much boost? Are you running with stock internals or is everything forged? Is it still 2 litres?
