That's what they call lift-off oversteer and unfortunately he makes it worse by staying hard on the brakes... :(

At least he didn't hit the guys on the scooter...

That's just how a friend of mine totalled his minivan, liftoff then braking. He wasn't drifting but avoiding a deer however.

I really dont think he meant to drift.. He was just entered the corner to quick and let off of the throttle too much and made the spin even worse by braking..

ridiculously close to hitting those 2 on the moped.. would of shit my pants for sure if I were one of them

I have seen worse than that, in Saudia arabia, they even showed it in CNN, guys in Camrey and maxima drifting on the main road, unaware drivers enter the zone thinking that it is safe, then suddenly he sees a smoke and a car spinning toward him........ I bet that you saw it. people are flying, under the car. etc etc

I am just terrified of those vids, nightmare... !

I've seen the drifting, never the accidents between two cars. The drifters tend often to go into the crowd though.
