Ipod Shuffle.. help please

My sister gor one for christmas, but i have some problems playing the music...
i already filled it with music with itunes ofcourse but when i put it on nothing happens i press play and nothing the status light is green all the time no blinks or anything

help me please

have you completely read the owner's manuel, FAQ, trouble-shooting???
does the shuffle have a mini-stereo jack? try other earphones/earbuds

yes i've read it all, already tried other earphones, the thing is that the status lights is always on, and in the owners manual doesnt say anything about it :?

Did you load the music via iTunes or did you drag and drop?

how are you uploading the music? via USB or firewire?
if it is USB it has to be 2.0 the older ones can/will have problems.
I have never had a problem with my ipod or itunes,

does shuffle show up in the itunes menu or the right side of itunes when connected to the PC?
should say the name of the ipod and what is on it well selected in the main window

the shuffle is only USB. It's pretty much a USB Flash drive with play buttons except that you have to use an Itunes or Ipod program to put music on it..

plug the shuffle into the computer, and open up itunes. browse the ipod shuffle in itunes, you should be able to see and the songs that you put on the shuffle through the computer... if you dont, you didnt add the songs correctly. If you do see them and still can't play the songs straight off the shuffle then you might have some serious problems

Exactly, you have to put the songs in via iTunes. Or else it'll just be a jump drive.

Yes, i did it via itunes, actually if i open the shuffle list it shows me the stuff i have there.

i guess the pod is wrong, will visit mac distributor here in guatemala, although she bought it in the states :(

i've heard of repeated problems for the ipod...

my ex had gone through 3 before she recieved one that worked flawlessly...
