I was wondering, how come so many Ford GT's are for sale already? I was looking at eBay and the number of GT's surprised me a bit actually.

Any particular reason known? I don't know how many are sold to date but AFAIK the numbers were pretty limited. IMO 46 on eBay is a lot then.

Becasue every husband/wife has demanded their partner sell it so that they can actually get some sleep :P ;-)

actually, both are incredibly wrong

Dealers are having a dificult time selling a heavily marked up FGT; and Ebay is an easy way for the dealers to push thier cars on people willing to shell out 5, 10, 20,000$ (and a year ago, $150,000) extra dollars.

here, its easy to see why the going price is dropping.

Ford should've monitored, and set rules for their dealers for sales of this car. I can guarnetee this car is simply amazing to drive from experience. but even wonderful cars suffer because of additional greed by the respective dealers (i was damn impressed a few weeks ago at a Porsche dealer to see a CGT going for MSRP  )
a few more months, and the FGT will be going for MSRP, and perhaps even slightly less. also, Ford themselves aren't loosing any money by dealers selling slowly... since the Dealers' are actually buying the car themselves so they can mark them up.
