As light as your shoe and actually not much bigger.. you can jump in and drive it and it won't smell as bas :D sounds pretty cool to me

Subzero with Mrs Peel
To be serious, i'd say cool for its chassis, its twin cam engine (very nice sound) and its styling

Subzero. Epitome of Lotus' philisophy, much cooler than todays overweight cars...

Naturally subzero since it has been one of the best sport cars ever made and i have always adored the Colin Chapmanīs vision, concepts, ideas....and the elan is not an exception....however IMO the lotus failed a bit when they launched the front wheel drive elan a few years ago...however the corrected it launching the elise afterwords

Uncool.. ITs just ugly.

Not an Esprit nor a Elise... sorry, have to vote for uncool just cause of the look.

Ever seen one in person?
You'd reconsider in a heartbeat.
Then again I'm olde enough to remember new Esprits.

Seeing one makes you want to jump in and take it for a spin. Cool. :)

Cool in its day as it was very unique stateside. Never really lusted after one when they were newer. Europa for some reason got my attention at the time.
Today - too many other cars I would rather have first. Actually with the rising prices of "collectible" cars a new Lotus would seem like a much better choice for someone as lazy and untalented at tinkering as me.

I couldn't decide what to vote for this car. Sure, it's light chassis, great handling and gutsy engine make one of the greatest sports cars of all time. But the styling is a bit awkward. But maybe that doesn't matter because it is indeed 60's chic.
And it's a car that I want.
And Gordon Murray likes it.
Ergo, sub zero from me!
